Really enjoying this app!! I’ve invited a few friends but limited takers. People dont have time or patience to wade through the set up process on an app they aren’t yet convinced on. It might be worth explaining the features and the philosophy as they are clicked on/accessed etc so people who aren’t yet sold and are just being pestered to sign up by a friend don’t just say ‘Ah too much effort’ and then sack it off. The less effort/time it takes, the less people are going to postpone it until they get home where they then subsequently forget. Everyone loves a super quick set up with info delivered in bite size chunks when it is relevant. The five invites thing doesn’t make sense to me. If you’re signing up, you’re going to ask others to sign up anyway or else you have no friends. People also don’t like getting random links out of nowhere because it reminds them of spam. I think word of mouth would be better, no? You probably have the research and I’m just a random user but that said, I hope this takes off!! This and BeReal are my two fave apps right now.

love the app but we could do with some improvements. firstly, let the thoughts stay forever instead of a week and let peoples thoughts be found on their page. secondly, please give us group calls and group chats. i promise you’ll attract a lot more users that way. thirdly, let us reply to peoples comments under our thoughts so it doesn’t get confusing as to who’s replying to who. i think i’ve said enough for now. thanks for the app though, we really do enjoy it #livelovelaughlapse

First of all, I got the app out of genuine curiosity to then find out that i had to WAIT. So Once i had waited an hour or so it let me in. (completely over the top by the way) You’d think the story would end there and i’d actually enjoy this app. No. I didn’t, because i then find out i NEED to add 6 friends to actually join the app, seriously. what the hell?! Thinking it would be all about photos and being in the moment as the trailer presented, no you just want me to get my friends to join. Ridiculous. Within that idea of trying to add people, this app found my contacts and you can imagine the fear on my face when i saw the people i did not want to hear about show up as recommended and the audacity that this app would actually want me to let them know anything about my life. Pathetic. ‘its all about photos’ ‘in a world of likes yadayadayada’ if it was all about the photos, then you wouldn’t have the need to make me add people FIRST. The fact that this app is just a glamourised version of BeReal. ‘DigitalCamera😜’ Trying to be all quirky. Disgusting. I can’t comprehend the absolute disappointment when i realised the app was so bad after waiting for it. Overall, delete it and goodbye. (Your lucky this got even one star.)

I really don’t like the recent changes to Lapse. The app used to feel meaningful and enjoyable, but the new version has taken away some of the best features.Being able to make friends and use the journaling feature was what made Lapse different and special. It felt personal, social, and reflective. Now that those features are gone, the app feels more empty and less engaging, and I don’t really see the point of using it in the same way.It feels like the app has moved away from what users actually enjoyed. The changes honestly feel like a downgrade rather than an improvement. I really hope you reconsider these updates or bring back features that allow connection and journaling, because that’s what made Lapse worth using.
