TheFork continues to be savoured across the biggest foodie hotspots in France, Spain, Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, Denmark, and Sweden. But wait, what exactly do we bring to the table? Here are 6 reasons to download TheFork app right now.
1. Things that tickle our taste buds: fast, free and easy online booking
We know that normal life means having a lot on your plate, so to make things a bit easier for you, we've simplified restaurant booking. With a few simple taps on our mobile app, you’ll be one step closer to having that ‘mmm’ moment of pure belly satisfaction, in the most seamless way possible.
2. Frugal on prices, never on flavours
Our amazing restaurant partners love their diners as much as we love ours and offer exclusive discounts on reservations throughout the year (automatically applied and subject to conditions at the time of booking). That way restaurants get to open their doors to all types of diners, making dining out accessible to everyone.
3. Community insights = better bites
Tuck into the wisdom of our gourmet community! With over 20 million trusted reviews from only customers who have actually tried the restaurant—your palette is in good hands!
4. We don’t skimp on choice
Reserved? Not us. That’s just a label for a table. So whether you’re looking for the perfect spot for bottomless brunching, taco crunching or al-fresco munching, our foodies are spoiled for choice with our diverse collection of over 60,000 restaurants and 40,000 photos, menus and community reviews that will satisfy just about any culinary mood and occasion. After all, variety is the spice of life! Browse, scroll and add to favourites, so you can find more of what you love. Now that’s food for thought.
5. We take loyalty VERY seriously
To reward our awesome foodie community, every booking with TheFork accumulates unique Yums points, which can be redeemed in the form of a tasty discount at one of our many partner restaurants down the line. Here’s how it works:
1 reservation = 100 Yums (Y)
Once you've accumulated enough you can enjoy amazing offers which converts to:
1000 Yums = £20 loyalty discount!
2000 Yums = £50 loyalty discount!
Keep an eye out for Double Yums and other ways to earn more Yums as you book.

What can I say this is the first time I use this app I am so amazed about how easy it is. Self-explanatory. Very straightforward. No hidden problems. At all. I’ve booked on the app. Went to the restaurant. Find my table ready. Ordered my food when I went to pay, they asked me to pay half of the fee which was amazing thank you very much. Keep up with the beautiful service. I will definitely book all my restaurant in the future through this app. thanks again keep up the great work
Pointless, book direct instead

At first glance this app seemed great, easy to find loads of good restaurants. Booking a table is also incredibly easy so no problems there. But the whole appeal of The Fork is the ‘yums’ - basically points that you earn by booking tables or recommending friends, that you then convert into either £20 or £50 off your meal. Sounds great right?! But here’s the catch: not all the restaurants on the app accept the yums. In fact, from all the towns/cities I’ve searched for, not even 20% of the restaurants shown will accept them!! Out of 3 large cities that I searched for, there was only 1 restaurant that would accept them. So 1 out of the almost 300 restaurants that came up! Absolutely shocking. Obviously places like London do have a lot more that accept them, but considering London restaurants also charge way more for a meal than most other towns/cities, the yums discount wouldn’t even make much different to the bill. Also, once again, compared to the huge amount of restaurants that show up in london, it is only a small percentage that accept them. So earning these points seems totally pointless if I can’t use them anywhere, I may as well book directly with whichever restaurants than use a third party app with no benefits.
Deactivate just before I cashed in £450 equivalent of yum
zeroxero response
June 16, 2023, The FORK deactivated my account stating that I had too many NO SHOWS! I replied to that email requesting the list of restaurants where I failed to cancel. They replied with 4: 1/2 2 NO SHOWS on 20 May 2023 - accurate. 3. 9 May 2022 - accurate but over 370 days ago! 4. 9 May 2023 - falsified! I have screenshots to prove 2 NO SHOWS on 20 May 2023 plus 2 NO SHOWS 2022, over a year ago. That’s 4 total since I have been a member since 2016. I replied to the list and was informed that I am permanently deactivated! In addition, I had saved £450 worth of yum that I was just about to cash in. The Customer Care team cannot touch the ‘Quality Department.’ The parent company is Tripadvisor. They refused to get involved. I had referred the FORK to a dozen of friends, and to them all, I have apologised. This is my personal experience with the FORK.
Great app but unable to make a booking at times
0W-M0
This is a great app but I am unable to make a booking at times. It so for restaurants that retire a credit card to make the booking. On restaurant websites when I am making such a booking my credit card company might prompt an authorisation process. Example I am with Barclaycard, it will take me to Barclays and I can opt for a unique number to be sent to me by text message that I then enter to authorise it. However, this app does not seem to be able to offer that function and it just informs me that something has gone wrong. I suspect it is because my credit card company wants to go through this authorisation process. It would be great if you can rectify/add this on the app.
We’ve squashed bugs and boosted performance for a smoother experience. Thanks for being a part of TheFork community!
