Easy to search for your beer, but the name-match-criteria can be a bit flawed, meaning you occasionally have to search for your beer by brewery instead. I remember when I first started using this app, .25 and .75 ratings were unavailable, meaning my overall ratings now look a bit oddly distributed. Its great use is to see other people’s ratings of your selected beverage. Particularly interesting how it can now separate serving style. Frustrating how some beers are separated by unknown attributes (e.g year, particularly on Belgians)... and yet not by known attributes (different abv). Good user beer reviews - not compulsory and not pretentious! Minor gripe, not easy to assign location when retro-logging, unless you are currently close to said location.

My quest to “try all the beers” will never be over, and this app will be with me for the entire lifetime journey. Each update provides more and more useful and asked for features. Been using this about 5 years now and it’s the essential beer collectors app to remind you of every single experience you had with every new beer you discover. Also extremely useful for reminding yourself what you got up to over a night out, or at a certain date when you look back! The only thing I’d change is make all the content on the website also on the app (just a few things missing like the top regulars at venues for example) but other than that, drink and be merry! Who’s round is it?

This is such a handy app, and is so useful for keeping track of my favourite beers, which ones I’d like to try, and which ones to avoid in future...! The badges earned are also a really fun way of keeping you active on it.The only negatives I’ve noticed that could use some improvements are the connectivity which really isn’t great at times, and also the limit on the characters you can use for your notes. It’s annoying having to cut down your notes and miss important things off, simply because you run out of characters. I realise they offer an increased limit if you pay for the premium version, but I’m not spending money just to be able to write more! So I feel the character limit should be increased for all users.That said, this really is a great app, and I’d thoroughly recommend it for all beer enthusiasts!
Need regional badges

So Untappd is great generally but what would take it to the next level is if you could track how many beers one drink from a certain region. I appreciate this couldn't be rolled out everywhere but within major beer drinking countries such as the U.K, U.S and Germany there are hundreds if not thousands of breweries from different areas within these countries. In the U.K for example there is enough of a beer scene in London alone to have a ‘London’s calling’ badge. A Boudicca badge for East Anglia and Essex, a Yorkshire/Lancashire war of the Roses badge. Etc in the U.S you could have a Great Lakes badge, California badge, Pacific’s North West maybe that could run from Oregon to B.C in Canada. A New Yorker etc.
