My audible app isn’t purchase supported ,I think it is how I have it set up so I don’t mind . It makes me stop and think and make better choices . However if I don’t like a book I can return it and swap for another or get credited . I buy extras on the deals . There are some great books in there so don’t think it just the rotten ones . I go quickly to sign in on google or safari and it takes me 2seconds . I normally choose my next book from my which list . Now this I can do on my app too . I flip back to the app and go to my library and hit refresh when you have WiFi . And I’m good to go ! Once all downloaded you can listen anywhere . There are some superb narrators and there are some you might not gel with . Give it time and adjust the speed as that makes a huge difference I find . Great app . I use it this way but you may use it differently good luck happy listening .
Great listening and value

I’m a new member who’s just coming towards the end of my first audiobook but want to share how much I’m enjoying the app. I like podcasts and listening to people’s experiences anyway so when I heard about the app and free trial I thought I’d give it a try to see if it would suit me. I chose James Corden’s autobiography ‘May I have your attention please’ and it’s a great choice. As well as being brought to tears with laughter at his tales, there’s poignant and moving stories too. It’s cool that it’s James reading to you as well. I’m planning on sticking with autobiographies for a while, but I’ll probably try novels at some point. Audiobooks are fantastic for long car journeys or gardening, so if you’re on the fence give it a go. They make you look forward to somewhat boring tasks. I’m certainly glad that I did!
The Push

I had already heard a lot of praise for this book before I started it. Ashley Audrain is a local author, this is her debut novel and although it's not released until next month, the movie deals are already being made. I was thrilled when I saw it available on NetGalley and jumped at a chance for a copy. Blythe and her husband are expecting. He's thrilled and so is she but she's nervous too because the women in her family have a pattern of not adapting well to motherhood. We see flashbacks to Blythe's childhood and the abuse she suffered from her mother. We also get glimpses into her mother's own childhood. But Blythe is confident she'll be a great mom. Until her daughter Violet is born and she struggles to bond with her. Blythe finds her daughter to be a nuisance and, as she gets older, is convinced there's something fundamentally wrong with Violet that makes her unlovable. This story goes to some dark places. The author really doesn't pull punches and knows her readers will feel uncomfortable. There were a couple of times that I got too flustered and put the book down mid-sentence because I needed space from it. I once watched a documentary about a man in prison because he murdered someone during a robbery. The show explained all the abuse he'd suffered as a kid that made him into someone who didn't understand love or empathy. His victim's family forgave him and said that they thought his mother was the one who should be punished instead. I understood that but I also wondered what that mothers childhood had been like. Probably she was abused too and how far back does the cycle go. This book explores that and at times I hated Blythe, then at other times I had a lot of sympathy for her. I can see why this book is building so much attention.

I got the app because i had an assignment to read one book. I signed up, good some free credits and downloaded the app. I was very confused on how to use it. I mean, I wasn’t sure which books i could use with my free credits, why some books were considered vip and which where part of the book clubs where you have access to more than one for 1 credit. So i did spend a lot of timr trying to figure that out. So i wish this was more clear. But after I finally figured it our, I quite liked the app. Book club is also a very affordable way of reading a lot of books, but be aware that books you download from your book club section will not remain if you cancel your subscription. The other books you purchase using your credit will though.
