I’ve been using this app for a while now (meaning months). There are aspects I like. It’s very affordable for the full service and detailed. In fact, it gives a lot for free. It is also highly customisable. The downside is that it is quite busy and hard to quickly process the key details most of us want from a weather app. The meteograph is nice. But a lot of info comes as lists of texts without helpful cues to what they say eg, dark sky used to give the low and high in a list for the week but bars visually showed the shift across days as well; Foreca does this in places but not always). Another issue is that info that I’d like together is spread across different tabs. I’ve flagged this to the developer. I want a Now tab that tells me current conditions that leads into the rest of the day. But that’s not how this app works. The daily tab has the day’s hour by hour data, but not the current temperature. The Now tab has the current temperature but not easy access to detailed hourly info. There is a separate tab for an hour by hour list that feels a bit out of date. There is overlap between trans but it involves more tapping than I want to do every time I look at the weather. I think the hierarchy of info arrangement is just a bit off. But it does have more detail than a lot of alternatives, which try to tell me the essence of the fast and nothing else. The only one I found that does both (visually quickly accessible info and depth) is Weathergraph, which nicely replicates dark sky but is too expensive to get rid of the annoying nag screen. Foreca taps into highly accurate data and great depth for a good price. I’d definitely recommend having it as one of your weather apps, especially when you want the depth.

I used to use a cocktail of other apps to get weather info, so started searching for something comprehensive and better. I really wanted something with isobars so I can see why the weather changes, something with rain clouds and non rain clouds and if I want to go Pro, a cheap subscription as I’m allergic to having money leached from my account. After a while I found this - amazing amount of information available, loads of customisation, almost all of it available for free and subscription £5 per year ( NOT per month!). It’s so good I subscribed almost immediately. One improvement I am thinking about and what others have mentioned, is a home screen which presents weather in a overview glanceable format - it would be amazing to have this totally customizable too. Apart from that, it’s perfect.

I’ve tried every single weather app on here. I was a huge Dark Sky fan, then over time I slowly moved to Carrot (which I still really like). I want access to all that Carrot offers and I simply can’t justify that huge cost for weather data. So off I went on a weather search. I thought Apple’s weather would be the answer, but then I found Foreca. I love it. I’ve been using it for a few months now and it wins hands down for design, accuracy (I’m in countryside of the UK and it’s pretty spot on), ease to read and layout. I really love it, the maps are fantastic and the hourly data is so easy to personalise. I honestly can’t believe it isn’t higher in the weather app charts. Great app and a great price for the full version. Paid without any quibbles at all!

Update radar is massively improved zoom function helps with traveling surrounding areas moved to 4 stars Thankfully they have added the temperature feels like The amount of precipitation with the % of possibility. Zoom radar is brilliant for view if traveling so you could see the storm front direction and pathStill only 4 star as it only has wind speed and not gust speed I use this app daily and the 3 day range is pretty reliable Shame no gfs chart would make this the best app out there
