I really liked the app, made some meaningful connections, and then paid for a three months subscription. After using the app for ten days, out of the blue my account gets blocked. I had five or six conversations going and all very friendly, so why my account was blocked remains a mystery to me. I wrote to Bumble Support FOUR times and each time they replied that my account was blocked because it breached their terms but they wouldn’t tell me what I did wrong, IF I did something wrong at all. It’s an awful policy to remain silent and not tell the account holder what went wrong and what can be done to resolve the issue. So, the two friendly connections I made, are lost because I cannot access my account anymore, and the money paid for the three months subscription is gone too. What an awful experience I’ve had with this app. Never again.

New update makes UI worse
WTFHarry
The bloody geniuses at Bumble (sarcasm) have somehow decided to make the user interface considerably worse, particularly in the Liked You section. Now, instead of being able to see 4 profile thumbnails per page scroll they’ve decided to only let you see one big profile thumbnail per page scroll, and have given you no way to adjust this yourself to your preference. As the developer is it not your job to make things as convenient as possible for your users, and give them the freedom of choice to choose and adjust what interface settings they like to their personal preference? I doubt a SINGLE user prefers this new unadjustable, inconvenient new interface compared to the old one, especially as this stupid format makes it 10 times more likely you accidentally swipe accept someone as a friend when you were simply just trying to scroll down the list– which means you have to go unmatch them afterwards to not waste each other’s time. Change it back and give us the option to choose what interface we want. I want to save my time as your customer and see as many profiles at once as I can, not spend 5 times the amount of time scrolling down the list compared to before just to see the same amount of people. 🤦🏻♂️Before the update I’d give the app a higher rating but I won’t change this until the developers make the UI changes we prefer and want!!!
So much wasted potential

On paper the app is great. A dedicated app to make friends without people having different intentions. There is some functionality missing that makes the app not so great though. People seem to not use the app much which means a lot of matches expire and replies take days or weeks but it’s impossible to have a conversation like that. It would be good to have a “last online” date on profiles to better understand the likelihood of replies. The Super Swipe button is really badly place, it sits right where the right thumb will sit so you end up doing lots of accidental Super Swipes as you try to scroll profiles. The swipe left and right can be too sensitive and I’ve accidently swiped profiles while trying to scroll. The plans feature is great but it would be great to be able to filter or search the groups, it’s impossible to easily find groups for certain interests and people create lots of duplicates. Also please fix the chats not loading properly and constantly refreshing.Update: The Plans tab has been broken for over a month now and they flooded the app with profiles that are clearly fake. I get Bumble need to make the app look busy to drive engagement but at least they should make an effort to make the profiles look real. This is particularly noticeable when travelling abroad and you see 6 profiles in a row from the exact same location, all with the same age, no written content, English names, and photos that either look AI generated or like models.
Absolutely FUMING.

Was going to leave a fairly positive review but have now changed my mind, this app cares for nothing more than taking your money, first things first, the swipe settings is so sensitive it’s easy to accidentally swipe someone left or right, anywho, in my head I’d assume if you accidentally swipe someone that my might come back up on your page later in time, instead the app kept asking me to change the filters over 50 miles away or completely out of my age range which doesn’t make sense if your trying to build genuine “friendships” So I decided to buy premium for a week, just for my account to get blocked within minutes later, I have had no rude conversations, all I’ve done is swipe people left due to sensitivity or the assumption the swipes will reappear since I paid for Premium but there was no benefits for paying whatsoever, I’ve been left angry and disappointed, spent money for no reason my account got blocked in less than 24 hours. Will never be using this app again, they only want your money, don’t do it if your looking to build real friendships cause you’ll have to pay every minute to do so. Ridiculous. 0/10.
