From the pictures I expected an open world of Westeros but no, I was met with a 20 minute download scheme even when I had officially downloaded it, then you wait 8 hours for it to load every shader ( around 8000 I’m not lying ).Once I loaded in I thought cool 3 classes but it was also overestimated as you can’t chose a start point, even if the quests are similar I’d be happy choosing a house to fight as and a start point ( eg Winterfell or kings landing ). From the picture and video, it shows a hero anywhere with no quests, I loaded in and boom, go past the wall, I proceed to take half an hour killing the army of the dead. Similarly It takes you to a village that has been occupied by the free folk and I kill them to go in a castle fight a then and get some girl called lirk. Even if it was cool to see Jon and Sam it didn’t pay for the “main character” mission I was part through, I’ve not finished the game.

Games a good attempt at an open world rpg could use some refinement and the targeting is sketchy it’s automatic and makes the combat a bit too easy at least that’s how I’m finding it the automatic attack needs to go imo it makes it way too easy the quests are ok the travels fine the events are ok but repetitive could use more classes to play and the button position needs to be adjustable if you have big fingers you will be catching the various buttons as they are tightly grouped need to be able to adjust the size and location get rid of the mount speed button it’s a waste of time and the quantity of items could be better the builds are variable but open to every player and beyond basic items crafting is too similar you can basically craft blue stuff easily and purple and gold by grinding and I mean weeks just to get something you won’t keep for long when the blue stuff’s adequate anyway

Love this game, play it on a Linux Laptop but would love mouse support for iPad for 2 reasons. 1. It will be able to be played on Mac’s with Apple Silicon 2. For some it’s easier to use than controllers. The keyboard is already supported so why not mouse? I would love to be able to play and stream this off the iPad Pro M4 like I do on the Linux Laptop as the iPad can run the game better. Other than that really enjoy the game, almost at Crows Nest now, just need 1.5k more momentum :)

i love game of thrones, i’ve rewatched it several times and recently finished the first book. so naturally when I saw this game finally release i was super excited (especially since the telltale game’s depart from appstore). this game is brilliant in terms of storyline, animation and graphics, voice acting, character customisation and development, the appearances of beloved characters like jon and sam, open world environment and free roaming (to an extent), battles that aren’t ridiculously easy but also not tediously difficult… to begin with, and the ability to interact with surroundings and search for resources and clues. these are all positives, save for the gradual increase in mission difficulty whereby it eventually becomes impossible to progress if you refuse to spend money on the game. this is a let down, as is incomplete dialogue and the odd grammar error—though these are non-issues that i can easily forgive. what let’s this otherwise awesome game down are the constant glitches, bugs, and system crashes. since downloading the newest update which i checked beforehand i had enough storage to accommodate, i now can’t get past the start screen. prior to this i experienced multiple crashes in a single sitting with auto save supposedly forgetting where i left off—especially annoying when you’ve just completed a real hard slog of a level. camera movement and character action sequences can also buffer and look quite robotic. most of these are nitpicks, but the constant crashes are an issue for me. before downloading, i’d ensure your device has the capacity to support its large file size. mine is, but the downsides to a fairly new game still shine through. the odd crash is expected, but not multiple times a session. that being said, it’s an entertaining game with interesting mechanics and immersive gameplay. the plot is strong, and i must take my hat off to the developers for capturing the mysterious vibe of GoT perfectly.
