I started using this app when it was MoneyHub and recently was forced to migrate to the WPS platform. My experience has gotten worse, specifically my bank account connections used to stay active for 30+ days (maybe it was 90?), but no longer. My accounts will show as synced but no new transactions are appearing. A day or two later I’ll be able to resync my accounts and the transactions will be added. At one point I received a notification about subscribing (suggesting that might fix the issue?) but when I navigate to the subscription section of my settings no page loads. I’ve reached out to the support team twice by email/online form but in both cases, after a couple days, I received a response that my question was answered and the case closed - despite not receiving any answer from support. When the app was previously run by Moneyhub I was happy to pay for annual subscription and didn’t have any of the above issues - I would have given it 5 stars! But not any more.

Updated to 5 stars following the response form support. Notifications are working fine now - for infor you should delete the old Moneyhub app band then delete & re-instal the LifeStage app. Back to normal now and looking forward to new features. The transition from Moneyhub to LifeStage was reasonably smooth. I had issues with logging in as the process was a bit confused & confusing. So far I haven’t had any issue with delayed OTPs either. One thing that is irritating enough to deduct 2 stars is that notifications are not working - nothing, not a one, at all, ever. The huge irony is that notifications were actually coming though on Moneyhub until I deleted the app. The regular refresh of my banking connections seemed more laborious with this app - a peculiar approach to login. Reporting my issue via Support is still escaping me - again an ill thought out login process.

I subscribed to WPS specifically to aggregate investment and pension accounts that were shown as available connection options within the platform.After subscribing, I discovered that key providers (including AJ Bell and St James’s Place) do not reliably connect. I was later told this is due to PSD2 not covering these account types and that WPS relies on screen scraping, which is unstable and outside their control.This limitation was not made clear at the point of purchase. When I requested a refund on the basis that the service was not fit for my purpose, this was declined, with WPS relying on their Terms & Conditions rather than addressing the mismatch between advertised functionality and actual capability.Support responses were polite but inflexible. For a relatively small fee, WPS chose to enforce policy rather than resolve a reasonable customer concern.Potential users should be aware that advertised connections and connections they may have used in the past when this was MoneyHub may not work, and this is not highlighted in app. All that is indicated is a failed authentication. Refunds are not offered even when core functionality is unavailable.

This is exactly the kind of app I need but frustratingly it just can’t live up to its ambition. I paid for it, but in the end gave up and cancelled. Having to re-connect connections every few days, and connections that stop working for months just makes the app useless for anyone with anything other than the most basic financial life. Yes, I know it’s not the app’s fault much of the time but if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.
