FrostGuard now speaks your language: German, Spanish, Italian, French, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Finnish. Wind speeds and numbers follow your region, so you'll see km/h and decimal commas where you use them. FrostGuard is now on CarPlay too: tonight's frost risk and what to do, right on your car's screen. Frostguard now supports CarPlay natively, along with all iPhones (including Duo) and iPads.

- Made for iPhone Duo: the layout adapts whether it’s folded or unfolded, upright or on its side. Half open, it shows standing mode, with a big clock and the 48-hour forecast. - Nightstand mode: turn any iPhone on its side, or stand a Duo up like a tent, to get a bedside clock in tonight’s risk colour. It dims overnight. - Frost on the glass: on Moderate and High nights, frost forms on the screen and clears, once a night when you open the app. You can turn it off in Settings. - Smarter forecasts: mild nights where the windscreen stays above 3° now show Low instead of Moderate, and °C or °F follows your iPhone’s own setting.

- Bugfix. Tonight’s graph in the widget and on Apple Watch now always shows the whole night, from sunset to sunrise. - Tweaked some wording for graphical layour on Apple Watch.

FrostGuard 2.0 is the biggest update yet: a complete redesign, built around how you use it. • A fresh new look, a new icon, iPad support, and a lot of small touches throughout. • Three modes. Choose Driving, Walking & Cycling for icy roads and paths, Windscreen / Emergency Response for a clear car first thing, or Gardening for ground frost and tender plants. Each mode forecasts how cold its own surface will get overnight, not just the air.
 • New widgets with a mini overnight graph, sunrise and sunset, and the temperature that matters for your mode. • Soil frost warnings. Gardening mode tells you when the ground itself is likely to freeze, so you know to protect pots and hold off digging.
 • 48-hour forecast graph. Swipe through tonight and tomorrow night, tap anywhere to read the temperature, and see at a glance whether frost is likely.
 • Fine-tune mode. Tell FrostGuard when it got it wrong and it adjusts to your spot, like a shaded drive or an exposed garden. Your feedback stays on your device.
 • Daily frost alert. On by default at midday, with quick presets for 9:00, 12:00 and 17:00.

- Under-the-hood rebuild: cleaner, simpler code across the app, widget and notifications, so it's more reliable and easier to keep improving. - More accurate daily frost alerts. Each alert now uses the forecast for its own night and says when the forecast was taken. - Faster and lighter on battery and data, because it refreshes less often and finds your location more efficiently. - Tidier notification time picker and a clearer coloured frost-risk dot on the widget. - Correct compass directions in location names. - The version number in the app now shows correctly.

Added ability to disable notifications through the Schedule Send scren.

- Daily frost notifications now use clearer wording and include a plain-language freshness timestamp (for example, “Updated now” / “Updated 42 mins ago”), so users can quickly see how current the forecast is. - Background refresh support has been added to request more frequent weather updates in the background, improving the chance that scheduled notifications use up-to-date forecast snapshots.

v1.26 - Widgets update more frequently - Fixed a bug where old data was being passed to Notifications. - Clearer actions — The main button is now “Schedule Daily Notification”, and you can pull down or tap the hint at the top to refresh the forecast (with a clearer copyright line while you pull). - Updated font size for clearer legibility on iPad. - Tighter layout — Location and the Schedule / Info controls are grouped more neatly, with matching button sizes so the screen feels more balanced. - Widget labels — Updated widget labels to be clearer.

Improvement to Notification logic

User requested FREE update includes the ability to schedule your daily notification. This version also fixed a bug which sometimes pulled a cached forecast into the notification. Thank you for the suggestion and please email me for more ideas!

Introducing Widgets! Frostguard is now available on your home and lock screens! Also various bug fixes have been implemented. Window to capture lowest temperature widened slightly to be more accurate.

Bug fix. The app sometimes sent the wrong weather data in the notifications. This is now working correctly.
