Major New Update Is Here! Since the day we launched the app, we’ve been listening carefully to your feedback. Today, we’re excited to share a major update with a more powerful search, a faster barcode scanner, and a much more user-friendly experience. **Smarter, More Powerful Search We’ve moved the search form into the main header so it’s always easy to reach. You can now search by brand, SKU, country, or category to find products more accurately and much faster. **Home Screen & Categories The category section on the home screen is now horizontally scrollable, so you can swipe left and right to see more categories. Long-press on a category icon to instantly see the brands belonging to that category as a menu on the main screen. **Country Filters on Category Pages On category product pages, we’ve added country filters just below the search bar. Simply choose the country you’re interested in to see products from that specific market. **Brands: Slider + Alphabet Shortcut Brand icons on the home screen now work just like categories in a slide (carousel) format. Beneath the brands, you’ll find an alphabet shortcut. Select the first letter of a brand to jump to it much more quickly. **Brand Product Pages: Category Filters On brand product pages, there are now category filters directly below the search bar. This lets you narrow down that brand’s products by category and get to what you need even faster. **Basket Icon in a Better Place We noticed that the basket icon in the app bar (header) wasn’t the easiest to reach. It’s now been moved to the navbar, so your basket is visible and accessible from any page. If you already have a basket from the website, you’ll still see the same basket in the app. **Navbar & Menu Redesign The menu icon in the navbar has been moved to the far left. The menu now opens in a “poker card” style, which reduces visual clutter and makes navigation easier. **Gima List (Favourites) Moved The Gima List page, where you quickly review your favourite products, has been removed from the navbar. You can now access it from within the menu instead. **Barcode Scanner Performance Boost We’ve significantly improved and rebuilt the barcode scanner. It now runs in real time with much better speed and stability. **Special Offers Now Easier to Find For quicker access to Special Offer products, we’ve added a Sale icon to the navbar. Tap it to jump straight to your special deals. **Product Listing Views The products page now opens in list view by default. Prefer bigger images? Use the grid icon on the far right of the app bar (header) to switch between list view and grid view whenever you like. **Quick Product Preview (Long-Press) If you don’t want to open every product detail page: Long-press on a product image for 1 second to see a pop-up with a larger image and a short product description. When you lift your finger, the pop-up closes automatically. **Infinite Scrolling We’ve removed the old “10 products per page” limit. The app now uses infinite scroll, so you can keep browsing products without constantly switching pages. **New “Add to Cart” Counter Experience One of the most important updates is how you add and manage quantities in your basket: When you add a product to your basket, the “Add to Cart” button becomes a counter. You can: Tap + or – to adjust the quantity, or Tap the number in the middle and type the quantity directly using the keyboard. Wherever you are in the app, you’ll see the quantity of any product already in your basket: In grid view, at the bottom-right corner of the product image. In list view, just next to the price. **Thank you for continuously sharing your ideas, criticisms and suggestions with us. Thanks to you, we’re now offering a more powerful search experience, a much faster barcode scanner and a smoother, more intuitive app.
