Great little app. I am using it to track 1000 miles walking in a year. I used the free app at first, to try it out. Then paid £1.79 for a one time purchase, to remove ads. The little ads weren’t annoying, I just wanted to support the app developers. I used to used ‘human’ to track my walks, but sadly that app is no longer available. I would like the app to ‘sense’ automatically when you are walking, running or, in my case, (ordinary commuter) cycling. I don’t want to have to state that I am ‘doing a workout,’ I just want the app to assume it, and categorise it based on my speed. And show my daily route on a map, automatically. That was the beauty of the ‘human’ app. Still this STEPS is a great little app, nice and simple. It can integrate with your Apple health app. It calculates the miles you have done in a day, week, or month, too. You set a goal per day, and it lets you know if you have achieved that goal of, say, 10,000 steps, or not. It has nice colours and a simple, easy to use interface. Great.

Cool little app but for a couple of snags

This is a good little app, but for a couple of small niggles. Firstly, I love the fact that I can add friends and we can share our progress for. There are currently six of us doing a UK challenge because we all have quite sedentary jobs. We want to move more. It's also good that I can see my walk history. However, there are a couple of little issues that I really wish could be sorted out. The first one is that my watch does not seem to update until I have opened the StepsApp on my phone. I feel like if my health app can do this, why not my steps up. Secondly, if I go into the app itself on my watch, the number of steps there are five pages in it seems, and they do not agree with the complication on the front of my watch which is, for the most part, up-to-date. If these issues could be fixed, that would be great. VoiceOver seems to indicate that the number of steps is on the first page of the actual watch app itself, but it doesn't read this figure out to me, so either it's not there, or VoiceOver is unable to read it. If you could put this figure on the front page as well, or make it Read, that would resolve all my issues. If I had to have a wish list, I would also love the ability to be able to take part in walking challenges like you can on other fitness apps where you can use Maps. You can walk from the Shire to Modo for example on one of these apps. Being blind, we don't get to take advantage of this in normal apps, but I wonder how difficult it would be to add a soundtrack? Anyway, just my amusing. The app is good at what it does, it would just be nice to have that extra dimension.

Great step tracing app for iPhone and Apple Watch

I was looking for an app that will allow me to see my steps on my Apple Watch and this app does the job and more. I can now easily see my % of my daily step goal and the actual number of steps (depending on the position I put it on the app I can see more or less detail). In addition it has a nice simple app on my iPhone that sync’s with the watch and vice versa. For just £1.99 one off fee I removed the adverts and gave the developer a little thank you. There are many other apps that are similar to this but ask for a hefty monthly fee - great that this developer isn’t greedy. Thank you for a great little app at such a bargain price.

I can’t get the notifications to stop so I keep getting them even though they are turned off in the settingsEdit: it has now been a month and I still cannot get the notifications to turn off therefore I have no choice but to turn them off because I will get in trouble if I keep getting notifications on my phone so I really think you should fix this error as people could get onto serious trouble if they are getting notifications when they specifically told their parents that they would not be getting any notifications as they would turn them off for every single app except for mess ages and heat I java to break my promise because of this one app so I am deleting it because of this glitch. I have commented before and I have seen no reply so j will be reporting to all people I know about the quality of this appThank you
