Your iPhone is always with you and makes a great step counter.
Available on the iPhone and Apple Watch, Pedometer++ is the best way to review your step count, walking distance, active calories, and heart rate data.
Set a custom step count goal, and track your progress over time. The built-in graphs make reviewing your data easy and fun. Everyone loves awards, and Pedometer++ includes a range of Badges to motivate and reward your hard work! The app also totals how far you’ve walked each day, and even counts the flights of stairs you encounter each day.
With full-featured widget support, Pedometer++ can display your step count or update you on your daily progress right from your iPhone's lock screen or home screen. You can also share your workouts with others and view trends over time.
The Apple Watch app puts all this data on your wrist. With a wide range of Complications, it’s easy to check your progress with just a glance. Add a single Complication to your daily watch face, or add several to build a comprehensive fitness-focused look!
DETAILS:
For best results, keep your iPhone on you as you move throughout the day, ideally in a pocket close to your hips. If you have an Apple Watch, you can set Pedometer++ to sync step data across your devices for the most accurate data possible.
The Apple Watch app can also start and track indoor and outdoor walking and running workouts and can serve as your guide while hiking.
ROUTES & MAPPING:
Pedometer++ is your ultimate companion for exploring the great outdoors. It allows you to import GPX files for waypoints and routes set by others.
You can also use the app to create your own routes. Simply tap on your desired start and end points, and Pedometer++ will find the shortest route between them. You can then tweak the route based on terrain, trail popularity, or personal preference.
Pedometer++ shows the distance of a route, the elevation changes you will encounter, and the estimated time it will take you to reach your destination. You can also monitor the weather that is expected along your route.
The best part is that custom routing is available on the iPhone and Apple Watch. Of course, being out in nature often means losing cell service, so Pedometer++ allows you to download offline map data for large areas, not just for your specific route. Offline map data is also available on the iPhone and Apple Watch, as long as your Watch is within range of your phone.
NOTES:
Pedometer++ integrates with the Apple Health app to collect and display step data collected by your Apple Watch.
Pedometer++ includes an optional premium subscription. This is offered on a monthly or annual basis. If you choose to purchase a subscription, your payment will be charged to your iTunes account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled within 24 hours before the end of the current period. After purchase, you can turn off auto-renewal anytime by going to your Account Settings on the App Store.
Access to iPhone-based workout tracking is only available to Pedometer++ Premium subscribers.

I like my apple watch. It does a whole range of tasks. Pays my shopping, tracks my heart rate through the day, tracks work outs, apparently it even tells the time. However the one bit of data my watch is tracking already which I'd like to know without diving into my phone is my step count. Previously it was buried in the health app on my iPhone. That's what brought me to Pedometer ++. I can't really rate the app on my phone, other than setting it up I've ignored it and that was my experience of it, that's not where this app is useful. However on my watch is where it shines. Tracks my steps and distance elegantly. However I do have a complaint you'll walk and walk, and the display doesn't update on your watch, greatest lapse so far is almost 5 hours before I tapped on my watch to update. It'd be nice if it dynamically updated every so often (maybe every 15 mins). Only after you tap on it do you get the latest update and the information relayed to the relevant complication. Otherwise great watch app.

I was well above 30 day streak (I have screenshots to prove it). The streak started in London and then carry out to NY where I stay a couple of weeks. Today I got back to London and my 30+ days streak is now a 3 day streak here, 4 day streak there and the same happen on my wife’s phone. We were doing our best to go beyond 10k steps every day and it was just a great excuse to go out and exercise. Now. Im very dissatisfied with this whole situation. How can this happen? Why was my daily streak going on for days and today all of the sudden doesn’t work? I always had internet connection. So this is either bad calculations with timestamps at different time zones, or a database regression that had bad data. Can this be fixed?

Great change to app so all briskis aggregated. Not as easy as youmight think to get 10 min undiisturbed brisk in a big city- what with traffic lights, cars, trucks and above all crowds. I have done as much as 50 mins brisk ina day and still not got my30 mins target. A great improvement now you can review previous weeks/days brisk walks and note target hit or moussed and by how much Terence 30March 2020 I have on 3 August 2020, completed 10 miliion steps since September 2017. I am celebrating by sending a small donation. I am 87and 4 months old on 11 August 2020. Thanks for your great APP which motivates me! Terence FlanaganHave now walked 13,408,000 steps since Sep 2017. The app has helped and encouraged me to do this. I was 88 and 5. Months on 11 Sep 2021. I use the nearly every day!
You can now build your own Custom Workouts with Pedometer++ by choosing from a range of included segments or ones you create your own. This update also includes enhancements to the weather data shown during a walk, hike, or run. Lastly, you can now earn badges for completed Training Plans!
