I’m not sure I get the hype for this app from a couple of tech blogs which is almost certainly due to sponsorships. The only thing that works for me is the widget and that’s because it bypasses the app and takes you straight to the map app of your choice. The app never works for me. Opens fine but is always calculating for all my addresses, which are all nearby btw. As a developer myself, I really don't see how hard it is to make 5-6 google maps api requests and extract the etas. Unless you’re saving money and getting rate limited by google’s/apple’s APIs in which case it means you can’t handle the user load yet.

Hi there, sorry that your experience of ETA doesn't align with what you've read online. Also just to confirm none of what you've read online is from sponsorships - it all the personal opinion of the journalist that authored whatever you've read. We're just a two person company and don't have a budget for paid reviews (and the publications that we've been mentioned are not those that would accept paid reviews without clearly stating if the piece was paid). We've only once paid for mention and this was for a podcast which in turn was clearly stated as an ad (https://appstories.net/posts/pdf-apps). Anyway I wanted to make that 100% clear. We'd love to offer users the ability to use Google Maps data in the app as the more choice the better. That said the Google Maps API is too expensive and sadly would increase our costs to a point that few would want to purchase. We find Apple Maps a great service and in most parts of the world it's equal or better to the other options. We do understand that some users prefer Google Maps so if this is you and you're not satisfied with your purchase please reach out at hello@whatsmyeta.co and we'll send you steps on how to get a refund. With your issue in terms of ETA always 'calculating' that could be you hitting a limit of locations. If you've got a lot added perhaps delete a couple and then see if that improves. Again feel free to discuss with us over email via the address I mention above. I’m using this app for a while and I’m a bit frustrated that after defining my home and work locations and created shortcuts for using Siri on my Apple Watch , 9 times out of 10, the message:”Shortcuts will continue with you request” is Siri’s reply instead of the actual ETA to my destination. If this is fixed quickly then my rating will be reconsidered.

I’m always happy to support a dev who respects my privacy and pleased to see this is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. An easy install and the additional calendar purchase worked immediately. Nice job!I hope that Apple unpuckers a bit and allows users to select the widget refresh rate. That will be icing on the cake.

Been using this for a long time. Works beautifully. Had a few issues with refreshing however, for the most part works. Helps me with every journey. Accurate too! One request would be that it definitely needs a Live Activity !
