OsmAnd is an offline world map application based on OpenStreetMap (OSM), which allows you to navigate taking into account the preferred roads and vehicle dimensions. Plan routes based on inclines and record GPX tracks without an internet connection.
OsmAnd is an open source app. We do not collect user data and you decide what data the app will have access to.

Too busy ordering pizza from Deliverpoo, probably.The app has a lot of settings, because it caters for every type of user. Get used to it, or use another app. However… it is ridiculously expensive, as far as I’m concerned, because I rarely use the app for anything but a map reference. I’m not incompetent, so I can navigate without any help. Paying for expensive maps and other extra features is therefore a bit sore. Especially when Magic Maps is free for everything, and works well. Sadly, this is an Apple phone, and we purchasers are expected to be rich and stupid. Get used to that too, or use another phone provider.4 stars for the app. 0 stars for the expense.Previous…“Send Anonymous Data” can’t be switched off, since the last update. It just turns itself back on. Every time I enter settings, it’s back on again. Accidentally on purpose?

I do like using it. I wad subscribed to maps+ but when they had a 50% sale on the one off cost I wanted to change to that. Impossible - doesn’t give you the option because you’ve got a current subscription active. Support was useless. Kept repeating that it DOES work and that I just needed to follow the instructions, even though I provided screenshots showing the issue, they just kept repeating that the option was there. Now the sale has ended and I’ve missed out.Update: in the end I did manage to work things out with support, though it took some time. From what I understand, a current subscription stops you from being able to purchase the one time version, though the app doesn’t tell you that. Anyways they did sort out my issues and I’m a happy user again so put it up to 5 stars from my previous 2.

I did a lot of research looking for an app to give turn by turn navigation especially when following an existing gpx route.Planning ahead to my summer trip to France I thought I would use OSMAnd to take part of an existing French national veloroute which passed where I am staying. I followed all the stages suggested by the support pages but when it came to save the route I had taken hours designing (whilst learning how to use the app) the option does not seem to work. You are supposed to touch(click) on the route distance/time summary within navigation to bring up the route info including elevation (essential when you are planning cycling/hiking routes) and save from that page.The route info page does not show at all, can’t save my route and have wasted hours trying not to loose all the work I put in... very annoying

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE CREATORS!!!! I never write reviews but I was just completely floored by this app that I just had to! I have been searching and trying every map for cycling but NOTHING has suited me as much as Osmand has.I love that I can ride and not have to constantly be touching the screen to adjust my navigation/location, it just follows me everywhere and I can focus on the roads! This app is just a bundle of surprises because that's not all that it offers, there is SO much customisation and I have everything that I could need in a map- from the interface, type of map, icon screenview, if I want to see how much time/mileage left I have in my journey, it even has other vehicle options- even walking! The only downside I can think of is the transportation, as the app cannot sync to London Bus or Train times due to copyright, you have to use another app for that. But apart from that (which is the smallest blip) I am IN LOVE with this app!!!Get it and have fun with it!! ^_^
