Great app for sharing photos away from social media

We’re using the free version and it’s been fantastic. We’re taking lots of photos and this way family have the option of looking at the daily photos, or not, without spamming them all every day. Half of our family is in Australia (we’re in the UK) and it’s been fab. Myself and my husband can easily upload images with a couple of clicks, and all of the family can open the app when they want to view them.Only been using for 2 weeks but very highly recommend - especially for those either reluctant to post personal photos to Facebook/Instagram or who have family members not on social media. We love it, and find that most family members (we have about 10 signed up) are accessing most days.

I was just telling yet another person about this app and realised I’ve never stopped to write a review (not that they are short for reviews lol) but here’s my two cents anyway; and to save time I’m just going to paste in the message that I’ve just sent to my colleague about this app:“But yeah, can totally recommend Family Album. The wife and I are both on there as contributors and then our immediate family is there as viewers. It's just so much better than spamming pictures into your family WhatsApp group and it stores them by the date the photo was created not by when it was uploaded. If you forget to share a bunch of pictures, it slots them all in the right order.When you're looking through your camera roll, you don't need to remember which ones you've already uploaded or not because the app will remember. It won't display pictures in the upload section that you've already uploaded so you don't need to worry about duplicates. It's a really well thought out little app. I love it actually 😆”Kind of a lazy review on my part but this is genuinely the type of conversation I have when this app gets mentioned. Great job!

I literally never write reviews but I felt compelled to! This app is amazing! It’s like having a private Instagram for your kids but without the complicated privacy settings to make sure your little ones are safe! This was a game changer during lockdown. We were able to keep all the family updated on our two little ones all at the same time. I loved the comments that family can leave too! I feel happy knowing our photos are all secure - if my phone ever breaks, I know they’re all on family album! I’ve recommended this to everyone I know with kids who share pics with grans & grandads/uncles and aunts ect! Its amazing!❤️
Great app - couple of suggestions

I’m on this app because my sister uploads pics of her kids - they live in Australia while we’re in the UK so it’s a great way of seeing what they’re up to and I love how it shows the kids’ ages for each month of pictures. I (like many other reviewers) just wish it had a ‘like’ function / reaction function - if you want to recognise a picture you have to leave a comment which then gets notified to everyone else who is part of the album (unless you have notifications turned off, which I doubt many of the older gen family members will!). I also saw a review mention being able to maybe separate different families from seeing comments etc (e.g. if one side of the family didn’t get on with the other / divorces etc etc) and i think that’s a great idea.
This app version includes the following updates.
