Be Focused is free to download and use forever. However, if you want to access the Pro features on all your iPhones, iPads, and Macs, you can upgrade to the Pro version. The Pro subscription comes in three different options: Monthly, Yearly with a 7-day trial, and Lifetime (one-time payment).
Payment will be charged to your App Store account and will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Subscription may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off in your App Store account settings.

As someone who has struggled with focusing I always believed that this was due to a personality trait or a lack of academic vigour. Well, after a little research and utilising online tools such as Pomodoro I completed my M.A in 2019, and this pomodoro app was with me every step of the way. In fact I’m using it now during my “resume” writing session as downtime between another 25 min focus session. It’s is an essential tool for me and has often been the difference maker in me binging a few tv shows all night or completing an assignment on time. Do download and use as you see fit.

Great except for syncing issues

I bought this because I wanted a Pomodoro timer that could sync in real time between my Mac and iPhone. That way I could work on my Mac and use the Mac version, but if I walk away from my laptop during a break I can monitor how much break time I have left on my phone or Apple Watch. Unfortunately the syncing is rather buggy and unreliable - if I start the timer on my PC, I currently have to launch the iPhone app to get it to sync the timer state to the Home Screen widgets, dynamic island and Apple Watch. If I launch the Apple Watch it does not sync at all. It would be much better if it could sync seamlessly in the background. Currently it is very frustrating.I also wish we could add a note to each completed Pomodoro interval so we have a nice log of what we worked on.I’d also like to be able to tap to add 10mins to a Pomodoro in case I want to keep working. I’d like it to default to 25mins but to have an easy way to extend unit up to 55mins without a break. It would make it more adaptable to how we work.

This would be a 5 star review but for one thing: adverts. And it’s not the showing of the adverts - it’s that even if you delete the app, clear everything from safari etc, when you login again the app will still remember the same ads it showed you before. So it’s annoying and untrustworthy, otherwise it could have been a good app. Avoid. Edit: the developer comment makes it worse. The issue is not the ads. The issue is the lack of privacy, it gets information about your preferences even if you delete it and clear safari. It still tailors ads based on your previous purchases on safari. Avoid harder. Second Edit: another developer comment that doesn’t reflect reality. I deleted my safari history, deleted BeFocused, added it again, and it still gave me ads from my usual clothes shops etc. Should be called BigBrotherFocused

Amazing app

This is an amazing app. I downloaded it yesterday to help me with me GCSE exams and it really enabled me to stay focused for extended periods of time. I love how you can choose the different time lengths that you want to study for because it makes me feel more motivated and focused and inspired to reach longer periods of time lengths. I also love how you can customise the break times, this means that I am able to decide how long I need a break for meaning I am not pressured to constantly be working within time limits. I feel much more happier and pleased to conduct more focused areas of revision. Overall, 5 stars!!!
