I’ve been using Tradify now just over 4 years, both when I had a few members of staff and now I’m just a one man band. The app is great, I use it mostly on my iPhone and iPad but works well on web browser as well. It makes keeping track of work so much easier. Clients saved for future jobs. Easily keep track of time and materials on jobs. Quotes although I refuse to them these days are easy. Invoicing is smooth, just a couple of clicks and the time and materials automatically generate invoice. I really like how professional it looks from start to finish with the client. You send a quote and the way it looks immediately leaves a good impression. Invoices look just as professional, and you can even opt to send a text message telling the client you have emailed an invoice which in my experience means payments super quick. I’m certain that I get away with quoting and invoicing higher prices for the same work, than if you compare with others in the trade doing it the old fashioned way. The fact it looks so professional , it definitely gives an impression that other people must of used you a lot and as such your pricing must be good, even if it’s not particularly.. Also invoices get sent to QuickBooks (or others) so accountant can deal with that side of things. There are a ton of other features, too many to mention. When I signed up in 2020 they called me and helped set it up. Was easy enough and they genuinely seemed willing to help you until you were confident using it.

Tradify has totally revolutionised my business and changed my life and I reckon I’m still not using it to its full potential. My two engineers also have it on their phones so they know what’s happening, where they are going & what the job is. All job specs and plans are loaded into the job so no need to ask where’s the info. They fill in their time sheets ( saves me chasing them ) all purchases are assigned to job sheets, nothing gets lost. Tie that in the Xero and Dext and I can run my business like the man from Martini, Anytime, Any place, Anywhere. I can’t recommend this enough.

The idea is good, the application is not sadly. I hoped it would help reduce stress and paperwork. I stress it increase time on a laptop inputting data as the settings done work on the app and only on the portal. It’s like having a car dashboard with loads of buttons that don’t do anything. No support on the weekends as they are closed. When They are there to help you can get quick guided help which is brilliant. The staff are very helpful also.It may take a few days for them to reply but once they do they are very helpful.“Update” I found out afterwards. One more thing, estimates and enquiry replies didn’t always get sent to the customer either. For someone who struggles with changing over and learning a new system this was a nightmare. Back to the drawing board for me. And back to how I was doing it before. It was not worth the stress or expense. It doesn’t work with my calendar either. So you can only use their app to see the jobs and you need to be connected to see customer info also. If you don’t have signal, you don’t have anything. Which is quite useless. Maybe in a few years when all these things are sorted I may look again. But for now it over promises and under delivers. Sorry to be negative. I really wanted it to work and needed it to. It’s cost me a lot of time, money and stress to try get this to work.All that I got out of it was more grey hairs and an empty pocket.

Tradify has already saved me so much time. However the ability to import a price list from a supplier isn’t useful to me as all of my local suppliers use a different format which tradify doesn’t support/their systems won’t support. I feel like there should be the ability to book in quotes as well as jobs and assign them to staff this way one app could manage the whole day to day business. The system should be similar to the job system with a pop up on the phone app and scheduling. I’d like to also see support for integration with the iPhone calendar rather than the google Calendar. Also I’d like to see tradify should support bank integration like quick books does etc to manage the invoicing, payroll and banking side too without subscribing to another app it could be like a tiered system where you could select extra add ins that would affect your subscription I.e adding features and paying more for a monthly subscription dependant on the add on features you use. If tradify where to become the one stop trade business management solution it would be world beating. Keep up the good work and don’t stop improving 🤙
