Astonishing, and beautiful.
I've been using this since the original version, and since then one stream became four and now six.
The new patch-bay allows you to send streams to other streams, or you can feed a live source and up to 5 samples through or via other streams, (or other combinations, but no more than 6) and "mangle them" (in the nicest possible way😍) and create soundscapes that are totally unlike anything you could imagine, unless you've already experienced granular synthesis.
If you love the 'found sound', music concrete and soundscapes (particularly those from industrial music or modern horror soundtracks and so on), and want to experiment in that area, there's nothing better. It does "subtle" too, and you can create beautiful ghostly /ethereal ambiences too. Having a host of ways to control parameters that effect the streams- LFO's (tempo locked or not) and extensive MIDI, so you can use a sequencer. There's nothing else quite like it out there and it's brilliant, well worth putting some effort in to discover its capabilities. Awesome. Oh and I've never had it crash, so very stable. Thanks.❤️
Incredible sonic journey
Like many of this dev’s apps, this is so creative and deep with excellent sound quality. I have only just scratched the surface with what can be achieved with this sonic masterpiece. It is great value for money, and has all the latest updates required for an iOS app to work well with other music apps. Fully recommended.
Can't express just how great this is...
But I'll give it a go. I have used grainulizers for years and some times happened upon interesting an useful sounds always finding it a bit hit and miss. The ability to physically interact with the controls and parameters has made it even easier to consistently harvest the most from any sound you import. I have lost hours just bouncing tracks form animoog into this thing. The addition of the ring mod and filters has now made this my go to app for inspiration. On my wish list for the next update would be a motion sequencer or an assignable lfo, or two or three (if anyone is listening ;-)
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
