Superb. Just Superb!

Have used this wonderful App for many years to spot the International Space Station when passing in view to my home in Berkshire, England.

But, “why does it matter?”, is something friends ask every time I pop outside for a peek. The answer is simple. This incredible man-made station is travelling at more than 17,500 miles per hour, that’s fast. Very fast. And inside are some of the bravest men and women from a number of countries, each of whom carry out intensive scientific research, scientific development and above all, are discovering and learning some vitally important scientific knowledge that will, in the longer-term, help future space travel as well as what impact, if any, that travel will have on earth.

So this app is more than an app. It’s a tool that should be used by youngsters, especially those who have an interest in space, and space travel, and want to understand what’s possible when great minds get together and taken action together.

Love this app

I really love this app, I remember the first time I used it and saw the ISS for the very first time on my journey to love astronomy. And how excited my young grandchildren were when they saw it for the first time on Christmas Eve and I told them that it might be Santa Claus . As they have got older i now share a love of astronomy with one of them . I will be really sad if the iss program is ended in 2024 as predicted, No more dreams of seeing Santa Claus to Harold in a new generation of children looking to the heavens and learning about astronomy on the back of Christmas Eve excitement. But for now I am going to continue to use the app to enjoy as many passes of the iSS as possible until then. A big thanks to all those involved in producing and maintaining this app.

A very smart app

Apps like this show just how useful technology can be. This is a really good app, and is a must have if you have ever gazed at the sky or been interested in what mankind can do. Read the incredible facts about the space station and then watch it pass right overhead. This app is clear, simple, and accurate- brilliant. We have shown it to many others, who have then also seen the space station pass overhead - connecting us all in that moment.
