Description
The iTeacher App offers an exciting and simple new way for teachers to complete their daily classroom tasks. From taking registers to awarding a commendation, viewing timetables and accessing student information, teachers can quickly and easily complete key tasks directly from their mobile device or tablet.
Integrated communications including email and SMS allow teachers to communicate directly with students and other teachers in just a few clicks. Helpful system messages and free push notifications also assist with keeping teachers up-to-date with any important student information, school news and timetable changes.
The dashboard is organised across four key tabs offering a quick snapshot of key information relevant to each teacher including their current and next lesson, their timetable, cover arrangements, any student updates, absent and detention lists, off games lists, news, bulletins and calendar events. It also contains a new iFeed feature that highlights any key data changes for students who a teacher has academic and/or pastoral responsibility for.
Valuable key features include:
Taking a register - whether in the classroom, on the playfield or on a trip
Viewing student profiles for quick access to academic, pastoral, medical and emergency contact information
Viewing timetables, including those of other teachers and students
Accessing cover arrangements
Awarding commendations and managing detentions
Sending emails and SMS
Access to all school news and bulletins, the school calendar and the school directory
There is also the functionality to send emergency broadcasts at the click of a button to all staff, students and parents.
The iTeacher App is a native app downloaded onto teachers’ mobile devices and tablets. This provides enhanced security and quicker access to information.
Please note: The iTeacher App must be installed by your school in order for it to be accessible to teachers and only works in conjunction with the iSAMS Management Information System.

Impressed!
I have only just started to investigate the apps features, but I have been impressed with the functionality thus far.
It would be great if there was somewhere we could ask for adaptations or suggestions...
It’s possible to find a student and email from a list but would be great to highlight the full list and email all, or even just a selection.
When I have a list on students names, its almost impossible to select the bottom name.
It you could address these issue then I’ll be further impressed!
Could do better
Dark mode is now supported, making things much more readable. Hats off to the developers. I hope they can now find the time to work on placing important classroom tasks front and centre.

The app exposes a reasonable amount of iSAMS’ functionality, but is let down by a weak design. Common tasks like taking a register, locating a class list, checking timetables and issuing merits/sanctions are buried in hidden menus often 4 or more layers deep. The visual design has not kept pace with changes in iOS and does not properly support dark mode, leaving parts of the interface entirely unreadable. The main screen presents very little useful information and I find it hard to imagine the designers have spent much time researching the needs of teachers in the classroom.
Nice redesign, still room for improvement
Enjoying the new redesign, though I thought the wizards section had been removed until I randomly swiped to the left. It might be good if there was also a visible button to open the drawer on the right otherwise users might not know that it’s there.
Also looking forward to rewards and sanctions being added to the app sometime soon hopefully.

It requires the school to have SSO access enabled for the apps. Through the review process we do not know your school code to check if this enabled. You are welcome to contact our support team at support@isams.com, raise this with your IT team or iSAMS administrator at your school.
