Keynote 4+

Although it lacks some of the features indeed many of the features of Powerpoint, it is an elegant program, I use it every day for work, it is the perfect middle ground between the utilitarian yet functional Google slides, and the somewhat complicated and byzantine powerpoint.
I really liek the formating layout, and whilst I wish the ipad version was the same as the mac one, I cannot complain to badly when you think of how much of a mess 365 is if you work on files in multiple devices. Word of caution though if you use keynote to share files with others, then it is usually best to export to PDF not to office suite applications as PDF preseves the fonts and colour schemes although you do loose some of the cool stuff like transitions. I have used this program for thousands of hours and I cannot recall a single time it has crashed. It is the primary reason I have stuck with Mac OS as switching to windows would be so much easier but I seem to be able to get my work flow moving so much faster using keynote over anything else. All of this is doubly amazing considering it comes for free as part of the software, I am no Apple schill but I do think this is a fantastic value product.

This is my default app for actually showing presentations on teams and zoom. It's so much more flexible and allows me to see whoever is on the call in one window. The present slide that I am showing in another window and all the other slides and my notes in another window. It is so effective and so simple. It is great for sharing presentations online and in a room with real people face-to-face.

However, I now find that I compose my slides in PowerPoint and then import them. This is because I am more familiar with PowerPoint and also because I sometimes have to collaborate with my slides with others who use Windows computers and can't access my Keynote files.
It's a shame though, because if I have to design something interestingly, I will use Keynote. It's graphic to tools are really good and I prefer working with them. PowerPoint has the advantage to know that it formats your slides for you. Granted, some of these formatted slides are formulaic but, when you'

I have used this application every day for the past 5 years to do a variety of things. Not only is this software good for presntations but that is just touching the surface of what keynote is capable of. I use this software for practically all drawing and visual designing I do, not once have I needed to install expensive profesinal software for these things. I have also sucessfully used it for tehnical drawings and been able to actually physically cut designs made on keynote using CAM equipment. The software is also great with animation. On its own iMovie is a limited video editor, however pairing it with kenynote allows many of features previously not included on iMove to be used. Combining these 2 apps has suited all of myvideo editing needs. Its overall simple non bloated intuitive interface has allowed me to make anything I wanted from form one application. How excellent.
