Find my earbuds feature useless

I like the earbuds and I can actually use the features in the app however it’s annoying that the app only connects when the case is open, which actually makes the “find my earbuds” feature useless. If you need to find your ear buds for if the case is closed the app won’t connect to play the sound to find the earbuds, also if your earbuds are out of the case and you need to find them again you cannot use the feature as the earbuds need to be in the case with the case open to actually be able to use the find my earbuds. It’s absolutely stupid and useless would love to know if anyone else have this problem.

Good idea but very buggy

Update: Make sure your earbuds aren’t connected to any other devices. I figured out turning Bluetooth off on my iPad did the trick. When my earbuds disconnect from my iPad and connect to my phone, my iPad automatically connected to LG-TONE-FP8_LE instead of LG-TONE-FP8. I saw a note about not connecting to the first one in my instruction manual. Disconnecting from both on my iPad fixed my issue and the app works on my phone now. But it would be nice if this conflict was made more obvious or if it could be fixed by the developers.

Original review: I have tried a couple of the suggested fixes in the reviews for my phone and I still get the “no headset available” error. It would be great if the developers could look into this because it seems like a lot of people are having the same problem. I love the idea of this app, and when it works, it works well. The app worked on my phone the first time I used it but not at all since. It’s impossible to connect. But it seems to work perfectly on my iPad. It’s very frustrating because I listen to music lot more often on my phone especially when I’m out and I would like to be able to change the eq and touchpad settings etc. But at least I can use the “find my earbuds” option on my iPad if I have to.

It’s wonderful when it works, I really need help with this to be honest

When I first bought a pair of FP6 earbuds, the app worked like a charm. I suffer with sensory issues but love listening to music and having noise in the background, so having the EQ available to cut out any frequencies that hurt my ears or irritate me was a massive help. About 8 months ago I got the new FP8 earbuds, and since then the app has been a shambles. I can’t download any software updates, I can’t edit or change the EQ settings anymore, and right now I can’t even get onto the app, it just shows the black screen with the logo. I’ve tried hard resetting the earbuds, resetting my phone, disconnecting and reconnecting the earbuds, uninstalling then reinstalling the app, but nothing works. It’s not an issue with the earbuds as they work fine, they connect and play sound out of them perfectly, they charge fine. All I want really is to change the EQ setting but it’s not letting me anymore. It’s clearly an app issue. Do I contact LG Customer Service? Is there a helpline? Do I send a tweet to the twitter account? An email? Anything???
