We’ve teamed up with our partners, Healthera, to improve the convenience of the medicine ordering journey. Simply install the app on your phone and follow the simple set up steps. Our Lindsay & Gilmour app links with your local pharmacy and NHS GP surgery. You can choose from a range of our branches across Central Scotland, Fife, and The Borders. You can manage almost anything relating to your medication within the new Lindsay & Gilmour app... Add your medication Order your prescription Receive reminders for when to take and reorder your medicine Message your pharmacist directly FAQ Q: Prescription refills - can I order prescriptions on behalf of my children or elderly parents? A: Yes, this feature is now available! Go to the Me tab and it should be self-explanatory to add a dependent. Q: Will you work with my GP? A: Yes. The Lindsay & Gilmour pharmacy app works with the majority of NHS GPs in Scotland. All of your prescription requests will be sent for approval to your own GP. (This doesn't guarantee your GP will issue a prescription.) Q: If I already order my prescriptions directly with my GP, do I still need your app? A: It is helpful to use our new app. You can still order from your GP; the improvement is now that your pharmacy, via our app, will tell you when your medication is ready to collect or be delivered, and resolve any issues on your behalf with your GP. You can also get free medication advice from your Lindsay & Gilmour pharmacy with in-app messaging. Q: Is my personal information safe? A: Yes. Our app partner, Healthera, has gone through rigorous assurance processes with the NHS and is GDPR compliant.

Pick up, Delivery

At the moment the app has lost the choose between delivery and pickup Not a problem at the moment as chemist already knows who needs delivery etc but for a new customer they don’t seem to have a choice.Also the email about medication being ready sometimes has the message to contact chemist about medication.They don’t do this.

The app generally works well for listing regular prescription meds and ordering when required. Unfortunately, the daily reminder alarm function is not reliable. Some mornings it gives an audible alarm reminder and other mornings it doesn’t.

Almost pointless

The tracking doesn’t work so I can’t see the progress of the order. When meds aren’t ready after 5 days or so to often there is a dispute between the surgery and the pharmacy as to whose fault it is. I don’t care, I’m just fed up of having to order monthly meds almost as soon as I get them because I can’t rely on them arriving. Yes, that is two problems (dispensing process and tracking) but I would be less stressed if the tracking worked.

It’s a hit or miss ordering on app. I love its convenience but in December they had no record of my order despite me having the evidence. They then said I didn’t have a repeat prescription. I went to GP surgery who said couldn’t understand why chemist told me that and printed me off prescription. I was told better to call to make sure they have order and that it’s ready rather than rely on app telling me it’s ready. Kind of defeats the purpose!
