Description
Line Learner helps you to learn lines as quickly and easily as you learn a catchy song.
Line Learner enables you to record scenes from plays. It allows you to listen to the full recording while you learn your part. You can then select to leave gaps in the recording for you to speak your part aloud. A prompt button is there to remind you of your line if you forget.
You can choose to repeat individual scenes, or the whole play.
With line learner you can record your script, and share it with others, who can record their lines, and share them back, giving you the ability to rehearse together even when apart.
The app allows you to load up a script in PDF or Word format and display it as you record your lines.
After you have recorded your lines you can alter the pitch of the other characters so as to more easily tell their lines apart from your own.

Very Useful but could be better
I love this app it’s really useful and offers a great help for line learning, I’m really grateful to the developers. I would love to see (in the next update) the option of having different speed controls for my lines and others lines. This will allow users to both speed up cue lines and keep a normal/slow tempo on their lines to learn. This addition would help to speed up the overall learning experience without sacrificing the accuracy of the process. Thank you!
EXACTLY what I was hoping and looking for
I’ve tried a couple of other apps and they just didn’t work for me, this, on the other hand is perfect. You can record a free flowing script by just clicking on the character name and reading, then the next character and reading with no lag or pauses. Alternatively read the whole script then attribute lines to parts! I’ve been sharing the script backwards and forwards using iCloud Drive with my iPad and iPhone so I can learn lines anywhere. By far the beat way I’ve ever learnt my lines. The app is worth every penny. Thanks Peter!
Works well , but...
Generally, it does help me a lot with learning my lines. I only find it weird and quite annoying that, once you record a track, you can‘t delete it! A basic function they still haven’t realized is missing. You basically can‘t make any mistakes when recording yours or your partner’s lines. If you do, you HAVE to put up with a useless track standing in your way and breaking the flow of the dialogue. I‘ve been waiting for them to rectify this issue for ages, but none of their updates has done so in the last 4 years or so...
