Logic Puzzles - Clue Game 12+

I have nothing but positive things to say about the actual Logic Puzzle side of the app. The UI is very clean and easy to use. Nice and satisfying sound design. Appreciative of the hearts system, although it would be nice to have the option to toggle them as a kind of “hard” mode. But overall a very solid 9/10

Unfortunately after completing a few of the logic puzzles, you have to earn ‘keys’ in order to unlock the next set of puzzles. And you earn said keys by playing a block based mini-game. Sometimes requiring upwards of half an hour of playtime just to unlock enough keys for the next set of puzzles that I actually want to play. Instead I feel the keys could be better off being made optional, potentially used to replenish hearts or earn more hints, for those who need them. Thankfully the developers have made the decision to NOT allow the user to purchase keys. Which is actually a big thumbs up from me, any developer who chooses not to lace their games with endless micro transactions, is a good one in my book.

TLDR: great puzzles but somewhat tedious to unlock more. With some small adjustments would easily be the best logical puzzle app on the store.

This is a decent logic puzzle game, however the need to collect keys to unlock new puzzles takes it from being a logic game to a block breaker game. You will spend a lot more time on these earning keys than you will on logic puzzles. It would be nice if you could earn keys from completing a months worth of daily challenges or from the special “timed” events rather than just getting a trophy/picture. I do appreciate the fact that they don’t expect you to buy keys to progress though. That’s a big plus compared to a lot of other games. If there was a way to earn more keys without having to play block games or it took less keys to unlock, I would change to a 5 star review.

I don’t know what the other reviews are saying about minimal adverts - this game is full of them, some you can’t even get out of (I had to shut the app down and wait overnight for it to work again). The logic puzzles start off so easy, with clues that duplicate and oversimplify the whole point of the logic puzzle. To get more difficult ones, you don’t have any option but to play them or some random inner “key” games which don’t make sense and I don’t want to play - I got the game for logic puzzles not Tetris. I’d rather set a difficulty mode, than to go through dozens of boring games or non-logic puzzles to get to them in a “logic puzzle” app. Lastly I didn’t find the layout user friendly - you’ve got to switch between “✔️” and “X”, which means your constantly needing to switch between the two as you read the clues, and the switch sits under the clues, so your thumb is constantly going from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen, over the clues you’re reading. Either change the position of the switch - put it close to the grid so that your interactive areas are clustered more comfortably, or change the gameplay - so a short tap for a “X” and a long tap for “✔️”.
TLDR: the puzzles are too simple, the layout if frustrating and the adverts are ridiculously annoying.
