Frustrated with the new updates

I’ve been playing this game for about 3yrs but regularly for the past 18months or so. I’m now on level 1555 and I love the challenge the game brings. What I don’t like is the new updates which mean replaying many levels to find missing ingredients. I’ve always played until I’ve found al, of the items so it was a little off putting to have to go back to find more items. Having said all that it hasn’t been a game that you need to plough money into unlike many other games, although this can be a little more challenging when trying to pass the trickier levels but don’t want to pay for in game purchases. All in all a great game to challenge yourself with and I’ll definitely be playing this for some time to come.

5 ***** game

Excellent game. I play most days for a bit of "me time " it is quite relaxing. It is very easy to figure out how to play and does not have an annoying tutorial that keeps popping up as some games do. I have played various Mahjong games over the years and there seems to always be something in the games that prevents you from progressing without spending money. I never pay real money to play an online game, and on a couple of other favourite games I have reached high levels without spending cash, it can be done and will give much more enjoyment and even a sense of achievement. There are a couple of minor things in this game that could be altered such as the zoom. With the iPhone upright all good but when turned to the horizontal position you are not able to zoom which is a bit of an inconvenience as on the side it is easier to see the tiles as they are slightly bigger but would also help identify if a tile is playable or blocked in. The only other comment is about the doily bonus. Could you not make it more random instead of giving the same awArd on the same day each week. Possibly include a couple new bonuses & make it more of a surprise rather than always know what you are getting.

Disappointed

I would have given this 5 stars a few weeks ago, but since the latest upgrade it has been very dissatisfying to play. They have changed so much. At least I’ve got my life back now. Used to play all evening whilst “watching” tv, but now I might give it one try but as soon as I have used my lives up, and it doesn’t take long now, that’s it. You now have no idea as to how well you are doing time wise as they have removed the timer and star drop. I don’t know what some of the boosters mean now. They have removed the one which gave you extra time. I have no idea what prize I have won when completing a seasonal game if I haven’t achieved 3 stars on each. Nothing is explained any where and I am obviously too stupid to work it out. I dislike the randomness of “earning” items for the collections which you can’t see and sometimes aren’t even there. What are they for anyway? It used to be brilliant. Not easy to get through the levels but possible. They have now deliberately made it so difficult to tempt you to keep paying for extras. Don’t waste your time or money on this.
