Until start of December 2024, the app worked fine. But since then, it seems to have got worse, despite some information sent on the App Store download app page saying that updates were made recently. What sort of updates were they if it keeps on saying that there’s a problem with checking out after adding orders to basket. It switches between a message that „there is is a problem in the kitchen” to a point where it shows breakfast items, even after breakfast time has ended. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing improved. Tried updating my phone software. That didn’t help either. How is McDonald’s making money if they are losing customers as they can’t order via the app? They are more likely to be losing money at this point in time. I’d expect from the company to immediately take action and improve the app PROPERLY, so that it doesn’t keep on lagging and doesn’t say that a problem is occurring, EVERY TIME YOU TRY AND USE IT. Does McDonald’s want more customers or less? Seems like they want less customers, because some want to order from home for mcdelivery and gain/use points sometimes. Instead they have to spend more on the uber eats, just eat or Deliveroo app. You don’t gain/redeem points there.

Food delivered, missing two meals from it, phoned customer service spoke with Zain who said no refund would be issued, advised I didn’t want a refund wanted the missing food resending, he advised in their policy he would not be sending missing items or refund for missing items (two sausage and egg muffin meals) asked to speak to a manager, passed me through to manager who wouldn’t advise of his name, he advised it’s their policy to not send missing items out or refund, I advised I wish to make a formal complaint he said he would note of my feedback, I advised it’s not feedback I would like to make a complaint he advised I can’t complain it’s their policy, I asked him to please read me the policy wording where it states if order is sent incorrect no refund or items would be sent he told me there’s nothing he can read me it’s just their policy ! Absolutely shocking customer service no cares given or support! Will most definitely not be ordering from this app again customer service extremely rude and unprofessional, making the customer out to be lairs !

The app is incredibly frustrating to use. It’s extremely slow and laggy, even in the latest iPhone 16 Pro Max. The app freezes often and seems to suffer from poor memory management. Minimizing the app, especially on older phones, often leads to it being offloaded from memory, and reopening it makes features like order tracking unavailable.For the past six months, I’ve faced repeated issues with missing items in delivery orders. While this problem seems to have improved recently, resolving these issues through customer service was a nightmare. Finding support contact details was almost impossible. Now, the app redirects you to Uber Eats since deliveries are handled through their platform. However, there’s no link between your McDonald’s account and your Uber Eats account. This means raising a ticket involves manually entering all the details of your order, which you can only find in the SMS after placing the order. There’s no Uber order ID in the Recent Orders section of the app, making the process unnecessarily time-consuming and frustrating.While the app design itself looks decent, its performance issues and lack of effective support options severely impact overall user experience. Please address these optimization issues and improve the support workflow to make the app functional and user-friendly

I had issue with app so many times. I order food for delivery and they always not even once but always miss miss one of my order and when I use the virtual assistant chat with them they tell me to contact UBER EATS for refund as they are the one that will help and when I try to call them they don’t even pick up call. Today I ordered food by mistake the addresses was wrong which is my fault. I noticed asap once I clicked. I called the driver whose number was there are there was no service for helping cancellation for food. I asked the delivery driver has her arrived at the restaurant, which was. So I asked him can he possibly be able to help me cancel the order. He was kind enough to ask and help and told me that the staff told him that contact Uber eats for cancellation. Then I went to app again there is no phone number to contact them I have to Google search and contact them. Luckily for the first time in my life the phone got through. I told ten customers service team about the situation. He told me that he can’t cancel it as the driver is there. The only option is I call the delivery driver myself and tell him the new address if he is able to order. If is not able to no money will be refunded and even if I cancel it no money will be returned. Due to the address being far, I had no option but to cancel the order.
