Your smartphone becomes the digital link to your Mercedes. You have an overview of all information and control your vehicle via the app.


ALWAYS INFORMED: The Vehicle Status informs you about the mileage, range, current fuel level or data from your last journey, for example. Use the app to conveniently check your tyre pressure, the status of the doors, windows, sliding sunroof/soft-top and boot, or the current locking status. You can also pinpoint the location of your vehicle and receive warning messages regarding unlocked doors, for example.

CONVENIENT VEHICLE CONTROL: With the Mercedes me App, you can remotely lock and unlock or open and close the doors, windows, and sliding sunroof. Start the auxiliary heating/ventilation or program this for your departure time. In electric vehicles, you can also activate pre-entry climate control and temper the vehicle immediately or for a defined departure time.

CONVENIENT ROUTE PLANNING: Plan your route at your leisure and conveniently send addresses to your Mercedes via the app. This means you can get in and drive off straight away.

SAFETY IN AN EMERGENCY: The Mercedes me App notifies you of attempted theft, an attempt to tow away the vehicle and parking damage. If a vehicle alarm has been tripped, you can turn it off via the app. The Geofencing service sends you a notification as soon as the vehicle enters or leaves an area defined by you. In addition, you can configure Speedfencing and Valet Protect in the app, and receive push notifications in the event of their violations.

FUEL-SAVING DRIVING: The Mercedes me App shows you your vehicle's individual fuel consumption. It also compares your fuel consumption with that of other drivers of the same vehicle model. The ECO display informs you about the sustainability of your driving style.

SIMPLY ELECTRIC: The Mercedes me App lets you display your vehicle's range on a map and search for charging stations near you. The app also allows you to start the charging process at a public charging station.

Please note: Mercedes me connect services and on-demand features only work with Mercedes-Benz vehicles that are equipped with the Mercedes me connect Communication Module. The range of functions depends on the particular vehicle equipment and your booked services. Your authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer will be happy to advise you. Use requires an active, free-of-charge Mercedes me account. The functions can be restricted temporarily if there is insufficient data transmission bandwidth. Continuous use of the GPS function in the background may shorten your battery life.

Not doing what it should

For some reason, I stopped receiving alert notifications that my vehicle was unlocked. This was over a month ago. I reported the matter to Mercedes me with phone calls and emails but am still waiting to hear back from the technical department (who it has been referred to).
I deleted and reinstalled the app and gave done everything requested - but it is still not functioning as it should.
My phone is running the latest software and the app is also the latest version. I feel very disappointed that up to now, I have not heard back from anyone with help and a resolution to this. More than 3 weeks to still be waiting and not hearing back is not good enough from a company such as Mercedes Benz.

Update 16th Dec 2020:
It is now more than 2 months since I first reported this issue.
I have continually sent updates re this and am running the latest version of the app.
I also have the latest software version on my iPhone 11 Pro Max.
I have also deleted and re-installed the app several times (as advised).
For 2 months now, I am repeatedly told that the issue is with the technical department - but still no response or help from them - only to advise me that it is still with them.
Is the issue with the app, my phone or my vehicle?
Either way, I would appreciate some help.
As an owner of new Mercedes vehicles for 11 years, I am very disappointed with the lack of support and communication that I am receiving.

New package has reduced functionality

I have recently purchased a new subscription for what is now the remote package for my Mercedes Me on a GLC. Previously I had two packages and paid separately for both. The new subscription seems to be missing half the data I used to get, such as tyre pressures, windows open, last trip data and mpg, next service etc etc. Not essential I know but annoying when I used to have all that and now it has gone. I know the car can send all this data so why suddenly turn off all these feeds. It’s not like it’s a way to make you buy another package there’s nothing you can do.

Update. After waiting about 5 days the old options started to come back. I’ve no idea why they all disappeared but it now seems to be the same as the previous package, and with the discount that was on when I paid, cheaper than the previous two packages on the app. Upgraded to 4 stars

Clunky and slow

Although much prettier than the previous app, this updated version is extremely slow to sync with the car and update itself on actions of the car, such as if it is locked or open. The remote locking function is incredibly slow to both update and work. It can be very temperamental, occasionally working, occasionally not.
The geo fencing and tracking options are excellent, although extremely expensive.
Each function costs you an additional annual subscription, which only heightens the annoyance at how clunky and ineffective the services are.
I’d say the tracking service is easily the best, most fluid function. Especially if security on the whereabouts of your vehicle is a concern.
The auto locking function is definitely the worst, when subscribed you pay £30 a year to remotely open/close your car from your phone. Which sounds cool. But in reality isn’t a very reliable app, it rarely works as you’d like and if you want to open your car on returning to the car park, you best activate it last sabbath and be prepared to have such relations with the customer services department, that it’s not weird when they arrive at your house for the holidays.
