First time doing this instructions are quite easy to follow no problem however it would have helped a bit in my view to explain what was to happen ref saving the urine on the written instructions especially for my first time doing this. I wanted to ensure I was ready to do it properly so I saved my urine in advance of following the verbal instructions from Milly because having to get up to urinate ‘urgently’ in the night many times I could not hold it in while I followed the instructions so I saved some in the old fashioned tube filling light plastic cup, obviously this was not quite big enough to fill the new cup up to the line but it was ok to dip the stick. I will know what to do next time though. Anyway the test was done successfully although my first trip to the toilet is always 2-3 hours after going to bed. By the time it’s time to get up (after 7-8 hrs) I will have been up to urinate 3 times at least.

Good depending on who you are.

This app is excellent for those who are confident with new technology and competent with mobile phones, apps and know/recorded passwords for app download. However it can be a huge barrier for some groups of people who may not possess a knowledge of passwords or who are not confident with mobile phones and how they work. Not everyone knows how to download the app so additional instructions to do this may help. I don’t want to generalise but maybe more consideration for the elderly who may not have kept up to date with mobile apps and downloads. Once in the app it has been simplified allowing an easy follow of instructions

Sort of OK

For able bodied compos mentos app orientated people this can work OK; however, for anyone who has limited vision, less than good health or some physical inabilities, such as advanced diabetic complications it could prove difficult. Yes it seems simple enough, but I suggest anyone not used to app use may be phased by doing it (even I am not keen on them) but those approx no older than mid-fifties should negotiate it OK. Elderly people may not be good with it and would prefer to go to see a clinician (doctor or GP Nurse to do a test. There may be seen to be time pressure, although easy, by any with app phobia or physical limitations.
