A great app

The FPH app is really good for all Hospital things. Easy to make appointments and see test results plus the clinic letters, all excellent.
If there is a downside there isn’t a “print” facility on the letters so you cannot forward on a hard copy of your diagnosis and treatment plan to any interested party, for example, the DWP who always want hard copies when reviewing medical history for any benefit claims that need applying for.
If this could be added then the app would score 10/10 as far as I’m concerned. But having said that I would rather have the app than not. Well done.

Not integrated random info

Came across this app by accident. I mentioned to a consultant that the blood tests taken at my recent visit to A&E did not show on my NHS app. So he mentioned this one, which does show them! But it appears again to be another example of lack of coordination in the NHS. This app does show my prescriptions as does NHS app (and Patient Access – yet another one), but doesn’t show any other info. It shows the care team to be someone I have never heard of. This app tells me to book an appointment, but when I try there are no times. It tells me I have an upcoming CT scan, but that is all. NHS, PLEASE get your act together from a patient perspective, not from your little independent bodies’ perspectives.

Overly difficult to navigate and no way to reply

The notifications that come through aren’t helpful in indicating what to do next i.e. ‘you have an upcoming appointment’ but it doesn’t say whether to wait for someone to contact you, or if you should be contacting someone to make that appointment.
On any of the notifications or appointments there is no information about who to contact should you need to change it, or if you have questions about what to bring with you etc.
When you do try to navigate through the sections, it’s overly difficult to find what you’re looking for, going into sections several times as it’s not user intuitive.
