WHAT IS OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER (OCD)?
OCD is a common psychiatric disorder that involves repetitive, unwanted thoughts that cause anxiety, and compulsive behaviors done in an attempt to reduce this anxiety. Commonly misunderstood as nothing more than a personality quirk, OCD usually involves intense distress and can become completely debilitating when left untreated.
IS NOCD THERAPY EFFECTIVE?
NOCD live video therapy has been shown to be as effective as face-to-face therapy. Our model has been backed by research from the Columbia University Medical Center, which found a reduction in OCD severity by an average of 40% in 8 weeks of NOCD Therapy.
WHO ARE NOCD THERAPISTS?
NOCD’s extensive therapist network includes licensed counselors, psychologists, and social workers. Every NOCD Therapist receives specialty training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, the most effective OCD treatment. All NOCD therapists are managed by our clinical leadership team of experts who have 20+ years of experience treating OCD and have designed some of the world’s top OCD treatment programs.
IS NOCD SECURE?
Our services are powered by AWS and Aptible, both of which are fully SOC2 and HIPAA compliant. Your therapy data is stored in our EHR that also complies with all HIPAA requirements. All medical notes and records are only accessible by you and your therapist. Furthermore, in addition to internal privacy safeguards, we regularly enlist security researchers to assess our services for vulnerabilities. Ratings and Reviews
Amazing
I need to take a moment out of my day to say that this app is truly amazing. By far the best app I’ve ever used. And it’s free! I haven’t used the exercises yet, but the chat is brilliant. This app has made me realise that I’m not alone, my symptoms are “normal” and that there is hope for my ocd. I would recommend this app to anyone that is suffering for ocd. I can’t emphasise enough how great this app is. I love it!!!
Best App for OCD
I have to say that this app has helped me a lot! You’ve got the options of reaching out to others, helping them, having a free conversation with a licensed therapist and having an SOS page. It’s good to go on this when I want to talk to someone who knows what OCD is like and have some comfort.
NOCD
The only feedback I have for this useful app as a cognitive therapist is to say calling it treatment for OCD has limited its usefulness quite considerably .
Many clients with anxiety do exposure exercises regularly and would find the tools here very useful. Certainly clients with health anxiety fall into the example given on the app.
Clients with agoraphobia in confined spaces too.
However not everyone can identify with the term OCD. Although certainly I will explain it’s usefulness to my clients in case they might like to utilise the app, as all anxious clients need to identify negative thoughts and manage the worried responses they trigger.
No worries , might have been a better name ?
