Evernote Replacement?

After many years paying £44p/a for Evernote, I decided to have a look at alternatives before paying my next subscription.
This app didn't stand out and being FREE how could it possibly match Evernote? I had nothing to loose by investing 10 minutes and immediately found that all my current notes could be imported in a matter of minutes. The layout and folders is much more pleasing to the eye and by selecting different colours of notes made storing & finding much easier. Then realising that all the features I currently use are also available on this app, plus Siri Shortcuts, I was enraged at myself as the cost of Evernote over the last 4 years is the equivalent of a 5 Star weekend away with my naughty secretary!
Whilst I previously gave 5 Stars to Evernote some years ago, there's absolutely no way I could give this app anything less and in my opinion makes Apple Notes, Evernote and Microsoft Notes look dated and untidy.
The only thing that I would change is the app logo itself. The initial appearance doesn't look as professional as it's content and this could easily have more professional users by becoming more simple and appeasing on the eye. Nevertheless I would still give this my 100% backing, 10/10, 5 Stars, recommend to people I like and those I don't (except my competitors)!
All I need to do now is find myself a secretary and in 4 years time have a naughty weekend away (If my wife let's me...)!

I have changed my mind

This is far better than the standard Apple notes, it is a great easy to use notepad without being complicated. It has some powerful features like drawing on photos, recording notes, sketch pad.
My wife was going to use it as a shopping list instead of paper but if you have a check list in alphabetical order it is useless, once an item is ticked it is removed but when unticked it does not got back in order and the notes cannot be sorted alphabetically.
However, I have become more accustomed to it and all my Evernotes have been moved across. I use it all the time for blogs before the are pasted into Wordpress. My entire vegetable garden is organised via these notes, plus a picture record throughout the year, our travels in our motorhome are organised via checklists, notes and blogs.
I am converted and I would not go back to Evernote.

However with the checklist problem you were facing, we will support bringing an alphabetical order inside checklists. For sorting notes, you can get into the app's Settings > Sort by. Please try this and let us know the status.

Love it, but room for improvement

I really love this app, its simple and easy and keep all my notes very organised and is great in comparison to any other free notes taking app I’ve tried.

However there are some features I’ve found that are missing that I think would really improve the functionality of this app, that would make this app go from awesome to fantastic. Personally, I find the lack of sub tasks in the ‘to do list’ a shame because it would be really useful, just now I’m resorting to writing all the separate components of a task in brackets. Another function that is really missing is the use of a hyperlink to a specific location on another note(rather than just the whole note) and even more irritating is that you cant hyperlink to a different location on the same note. I’m using one note as a personal glossary of terms for a course I’m doing and its starting to get very extensive so being able to have a contents with hyperlinks at the beginning of a note would be a vast improvement. This has become an issue to the point that I I’ve considered switching those notes to word, but I don’t want to have to because other functionalities like handwritten notes and audio which are really good.

Overall, I love this app, its great and I will continue to use it, but I hope it keeps improving to make it even better. Hopefully this feedback will be of some use for developing updates.
