Best RPG on iOS

I’ve played a lot of free games on mobile and a lot of RPGs. Most of them get boring within a few weeks unless you pay a lot of money to progress up the ranks and whatnot. Octopath Traveller is not like one of those games. The story is interesting. The combat is engaging and I am able to progress at a reasonable pace without spending any money. If you want to optimise your team then yea, you can pay for better characters but you don’t need to in order to play through the game. It really is a perfect mix. I hope that other game developers use this game as a model and create future content as good as Octopath Traveller. This is the new bar and will be for a long time to come I suspect.

Wonderful game, predatory developers

In short, I wish I could rate this higher. I’ve sunk well over a hundred hours and no small amount of money into this game, the latter of which I now regret. It costs approximately £516 to guarantee a character from a banner, and rubies (which you use to pull) are EXTREMELY scarce in-game, despite new banners coming out drastically more swiftly than in Japan. Keeping up is impossible, and you are all but forced to pay hundreds if you want a good shot at a beloved character. More egregiously, today’s Bravely Default crossover has been changed from the Japanese release. In Japan, you only needed half as many pulls (3000 rubies) for a guaranteed copy of the character, and had a 50% chance to get them by completing a Step-Up banner. Global? The same 200 pulls as normal (6000 rubies) for a guaranteed character, and the step up banner is *paid rubies only*. This will cost you the equivalent of around £100 just to do the step up. Oh, and if you do the step up… you will have only a 15% chance to pull the crossover character (down from 50% in Japan). This is a disgrace, and also deeply ironic given the story criticises intense greed only for the team behind it to fall prey to the very same vice. If the developers change course, I will consider altering this review, but for now, I sadly cannot recommend this game despite its many positives

Good sheet mon

You can download this and enjoy it like a single player game no money required.

The only people who will spend money are those that want to run the EX stuff which is ludicrously difficult but that’s the end end game here.

There is an absolute gem of a single player game to be had.

Unlock nameless town and it’s little farms and just log in daily for a while and redeem, soon you will have more than enough resource to complete the game.

Haven’t spent a penny, logged in here and there and the devs just throw free stuff at you over the course of your playtime, I have over 15 awakened 5 stars and 7,000 rubies.

Hope this helped you decide ✌️💜
