Receive personalised support from one of Oviva’s specialist dietitians to take control of your health!

The Oviva app is used to communicate with your dietitian or health professional, who can support you to learn more about managing your health. Receive regular support and advice to give you the knowledge and skills to improve your confidence in achieving your goals.

How it works:

1. Simply download the app and you will be matched with a personal dietitian based on your background, requirements and preferences. If you have received an NHS referral, we will contact you to coordinate an initial assessment with your dietitian and any other healthcare professionals you are working with.

2. You will discuss your personal aims and concerns with your dietitian, make a personalised plan, and set goals using the app.

3. Snap photos of your meals, manage your goals through our tracking functions, and receive feedback and support. This will include personalised tips, recipes and nutrition information tailored to you. You can also connect with the Health app, to conveniently share your health data.

4. Ask questions! Use the app to contact your dietitian at any time. They will equip you with all the evidence-based knowledge you need to pave your way to a healthier you.

5. Accomplish your goals in a way that works for you.

I recommend this App

It give you good educational insight to the foods which we need to eat, and the reasons why. Of course we all know what to eat, but actually following what we eat either by writing it down or taking a photo makes it real. There are also great recipes to follow if you chose and access to other educational institutions where you get ideas for exercising even if you cannot weight bear, so chair exercises, and yet even more recipes.
I find it difficult eating the right amount of food due to health problems, although I am trying to eat different foods to help me.
Great tips, fantastic having a coach back up giving you the chance to ask questions.
I was a little unsure about using the app but went for it knowing I needed to lose weight, I felt as though I ate healthy anyway but not the amount I needed to. I have enough health issues without adding diabetes into the mix, so anything to reduce my risk of developing it is fantastic.
I would recommend this app to anyone wanting to lose weight or monitor their blood sugars, just do it.

No longer a useful app

This app used to be brilliant. Meal-logging was great giving you the option of photographing food of manually logging it from food groups. The examples of food groups was extremely helpful to act as a reminder and to enable me to swap out foods when meal planning.
The food group element has now been removed which has caused me several issues: I can no longer meal-plan quickly and easily, I don’t carry my phone in my back pocket so photographing food doesn’t come naturally and more importantly, I am unable to have my phone on me at all during my shift at work so meal logging is missed during those times. I also have sensory difficulties surrounding food and find blitzing 5-6 veggies to make a smooth curry sauce is the only way I can eat them - the app can’t identify them.
So my meal-tracking is now lost, which means my recommendations of what I should/shouldn’t be eating has gone with it - I had no idea I wasn’t eating enough dairy for example and I still need reminding.
The lessons in the app were useful offering different options for weight loss and this was echoed in the meal logging - which has sadly turned into a one size fits all system.
I’m now looking for an alternative app that provides food groups to give me the valuable insight that has been lost from this app.

An excellent prompt to better health in your pocket.

When I was told I was pre-diabetic and was given the option of using the app to help me adjust my eating habits & diet, I was sceptical. However, 6 months in, I can honestly say it’s been invaluable. I never thought I would photograph my meals but doing so has made me think about what I eat and the quantity. Reading the learning packages has helped me understand the affects of what I was eating and to eat better carbs. You can easily adjust your targets and as the app records your weight, eating habits etc, it makes recommendations that make sense.
I’m now 9 kilos lighter, exercising more, my blood sugar level is back where it should be and I’m feeling much better in myself. It’s not big changes, but the app reminds you and helps make the changes which are more in your head than your body. I thoroughly recommend it.
