I prefer pen and paper but this is game changing. Honestly, forget Mendeley, Endnote and Zotero. This is the best reference manager I’ve ever had.
Takes a while to update though and syncing is annoying.
Best reference manager
I’ve used all the reference managers over the years and Paperpile is best in my opinion. It offers full cloud-based functionality and does a remarkable job of hunting down PDFs for each imported paper.
Paper writing currently requires Google Documents which is great for multi-author collaboration. I was a long time user of Papers.app which was stylish and fully functioned for many years until it went stale. Paperpile beats it and with this iOS app and synchronisation in the cloud, it really is an outstanding solution for academics and others using the literature.
Great app but kills battery!
I love Paperpile and I was super excited to use it on my iPad to annotate papers. Everything is good except that 25% of my battery is drained per hour of using this app. Something major needs to be fixed I think...
