I really like the ease of the app however there is much more it could provide.
It feels a bit like a work in progress, for example there is also no easy way to renew membership on the app (and indeed online). I had to sign our of the app to try to renew online which still didn’t work. It could save so much time having this on the app as you have to phone up to renew but I ended up actually going to my local picturehouse cinema to renew in person. It would also be good to see when membership was due to expire as I only got an email after it had expired.
I do like the way the updated version has how many free tickets you have now though.
It demands real effort to make an app this bad
What to say about the app? Well on the positive side it is no worse than the website. Unfortunately, the website is a complete car crash. I have had to make an exceptional effort to become a member. Picturehouse for some reason make it impossible to upgrade from free to paying membership on the app or online. You have to ring and get them to cancel the free account. Except even when they do that remnants of the old account stop you doing useful things like buying tickets. I had to go into a Picturehouse to get it sorted but I still don’t really have a fully functioning website or app. And I am not alone as the next person in the queue at Picturehouse had the same issue. They really need a different developer to the one they are using to come in and sort out this mess.
The Voucher option doesn’t work lately
Hello,
My company allows me to get cinema vouchers and I have tried to use with you guys in the past, successfully. However, since 2023 it has been impossible: once you copy and paste the voucher number in the dedicated section and you are led to the seats with a button that still shows the full ticket prices and - once you select the seats - and error message shows. This is very frustrating because once I have sorted it by going straight to the nearby cinema of yours, but another time I have been left with these two unused vouchers as they are for London Central which is far from where I live.
Can you please fix it? COA vouchers, or perks at work.
