I’ve stopped listening to or looking at the news. I moved my BBCNews icon from the first page of my iPhone to the third page and filled the slot with the icon that takes me to Poem Hunter. Every day I get a random poem. Some are good some not so good but it’s definitely better than the news.
For most of human history we have got our news from other people directly one-to-one. It was slow news and it was relevant to us. Now it’s easy to be bombarded with news all the time and I personally find that it upsets my equilibrium. So now I let other people tell me what’s happening. Friends ask me about some news item and I say I don’t know and they are happy to tell me.

You need to watch what others may be showing as well as I’ve had somebody pretending to be the author of one of my poems !
I had it removed as I hold all the copyrights to every one of my 730 + poems I have written and had published worldwide !
