Description

Team up and take down the opposition in Pokémon’s first 5-on-5 strategic team battle game!

Join Trainers from around the world as they head for Aeos Island to compete in Unite Battles! In Unite Battles, Trainers face off in 5-on-5 team battles to see who can score the most points within the allotted time. Teamwork is key as you and your teammates defeat wild Pokémon, level up, evolve your own Pokémon, and work to prevent the opposing team from scoring points. Put your teamwork to the test, and take home the win!

Key Features:

• BATTLE IN STYLE: Take to the field while looking your best in Holowear! Thanks to a special technology developed using Aeos energy, Trainers can deck out their Pokémon in a variety of holographic outfits—with new styles arriving regularly!

• UNITE MOVES: Unleash the true power of your Pokémon with Unite Moves! Leverage these all-new Pokémon moves, which are only possible while in Unite Battles, and turn the tide of even the direst situations.

• RANK UP: Looking to prove how skilled you are? Participate in ranked matches, and earn points as you climb up the global leaderboard!

• COMMUNICATION IS KEY: Even the most-skilled Trainers recognize how important communication is to their team’s success. Leverage signals, quick-chat messages, and—for the first time in a Pokémon title—voice chat to communicate and stay in sync with your team.

• CROSS-PLATFORM PLAY: Challenge Trainers from around the world to Unite Battles on the Nintendo Switch™ system or on a compatible mobile device thanks to cross-platform support. Trainers may use their Pokémon Trainer Club account or Nintendo Account on both Nintendo Switch and mobile to easily keep their progress synced between devices.

Good game, could do with a few more things

Honestly, this game is amazing. It is fun, engaging and makes you fall in love with Pokémon. It has a lot of really good features and the few things it doesn't have aren't a very big deal. It is a nice enough community that there isn't much bullying or any other social problems. Please install this game if you are looking for a fun battle game.

However, there are a few things I would like to point out. Firstly, there aren't enough things that I can say to people, I wouldn't mind a free chat at the beginning to try and come up with a game plan. Obviously, you could sensor swear words etc. Secondly, it would be nice if certain Pokémon are a bit less powerful or group together Pokémon that are equally matched meaning less one sided battles. Thirdly, it would be nice if there was no kill stealing. Whoever has damaged that Pokémon the most or been in battle with it the most. Finally, I believe it would be better if some person became idle for more than 1 minute, they get kicked out and replaced in game with a computer based version of their Pokémon, this way people who come in and don't do anything they get more than just 'Loose XP', they can't be in the game at all. Also this helps the current people in the game because it means there is a computer there to help them.

Better than most say

Pokemon unite is a diverse game with lots of potential as an amazing competitive game, because of its plentiful roster of Pokemon and items. Let’s address a few issues people have with this game; 1. Pay to win. This game is not pay to win. Sorry Dhar Mann, but unlocking new characters and levelling up items is an easy process, with plenty of rental passes and max grade trial cards at players disposal. Levelling up items is easily done organically without monetary input, as item enhancers are on of the most plentiful currencies in the game. Yes some Pokemon are better than others, but you can simply decide to buy those characters. 2. Gaining currencies. The reason this game is so good is the plentiful supply of Aeos coins to buy characters. 2100 coins per week is reasonable, and there are daily and special events to give you additional money anyway. Even holotickets can be obtained by completing Pokemon achievements. 3. Lag on mobile. Can’t argue with this one. In conclusion, get good or just save your money for useful purchases. Any problem you have with the game is your problem, not it’s.

I’ll pass…

Severely unbalanced game that mostly awards mons that do damage (attackers) over other characters. Defenders and support characters have to work 10x harder (and get lucky with teammates in soloq) to have any impact on the team. There are tons of characters that are quite frankly not viable because many characters can outclass them easily… or they just die without being able to put up much of a fight, found myself being killed really easily despite being in my goal zone (when I’m a defender) when Im up against Attacker role mons like Greninja, cinderace and Venusaur. Overpowered characters like Lucario, Zeraora and Venusaur get buffed even more or continue to be ignored despite needing nerfs. It’s a good way to spend 10 minutes I suppose but in competitive scene, this game is absolute garbage. Several moves are just outright bad for some mons because they’re not impactful and are incredibly situational (crustle’s stealth rock being a prime example) and the devs continue to ignore this.

Mobile version is also riddled with bugs that send you out of the game such as the “authorisation has expired” bug which has existed for quite some time now and hasn’t been fixed. As of recent I’ve encountered another bug where the game completely freezes on me but my mon is still moving in a single direction for other players, putting my teammates at a disadvantage in team fights and me at a disadvantage in engages.
