In general, I have been disappointed with the app. Whilst it was easy to install, set up an account, each time I use the app, I have had issues.Firstly, the app failed to register my departure on one parking experience, and on the second usage, it has not shown me arriving! Plus it is the most expensive way of parking, no discounts at all I offered or applied to the app.Whilst it is convenient to come and go without any money involved at the transaction, to pay a lot more for parking is not really expected. I suspect I will delete my account. Sorry not to be more positive, what I believe would’ve been an excellent idea.

Picking daughter up from Birmingham New Street Station is a nightmare (and expensive) so hubby suggested parking at The Mailbox and walking up to meet her. What a great suggestion from him. I already had the Q-Park app from previous longer stays (theatre, shopping etc) but never for a quick, short stay. It was so easy. On driving up to the barrier, your registration is recognised straight away and in you go, almost without needing to stop. Found a parking space very quickly and went to meet daughter. On exiting the car park, drive to the barrier and up it goes automatically and out you go. It’s all charged automatically to your registered card. If there is a problem with your card, you are notified straight away to correct the issue. All in all a great advice and will definitely be using it again. No more messing with tickets and pay machines for me!

Absolutely awful customer service……. DO NOT USE THEM OR THEIR APP! I recently fell foul of their “small print” that let’s face it does anyone have time to read it?!!! I had the app downloaded and set up for auto pay. I used this once and it was absolutely fine however some 7 months later I sell my car and get a new vehicle. The new owners 2 months after I’d sold it used a Q-Park in central Manchester. The app automatically charged me £18 for this stay. When I explained what had happened I was told it was my problem for not changing my car. Oh sorry, this was the last thing in my mind once I’d sold a car “oh I must update my Q-Park app”!!! So they got paid for this session twice, once by me and once by the new owner! Absolutely disgusting customer service, I even asked for a supervisor to contact me and got an even more ridiculous response.

I used the app to pay a few weeks ago and forgot I had attached my card details. I drove into the Q-Park and the barrier just lifted and it said welcome. I thought it was broken so pressed the help button. They confirmed by my registration it was all setup and just to drive out when finished and it will auto charge my card. This was very convenient and I think was slightly cheaper than a ticket. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the ridculous price Q-Park charges for parking but other than that it was easy, convenient and as long as they don’t get hacked and my card details are shared then it’s a good service.
