RAC Black Box is the FREE easy-to-use app for RAC Black Box Car Insurance policy holders.
You’ll have access to your driving data including your Driver Score – all in one handy place.
Being able to prove you’re a safe driver can save you money on your car insurance. The RAC Black Box app gives you all the information you need to improve your driving. And we’ll reward a good Driver Score with a lower renewal price.
Driver Scores
See in detail how you drive and how your Driver Score is calculated. This can help you to be a safer driver, reducing your risk of having an accident and maximising your fuel efficiency.
Journey Information
Track all your trips in detail including location, mileage and duration together with information on your driving speed.
Your car’s location
You’ll be able to track your car if it’s stolen. If you’re in an accident that isn’t your fault, having detailed journey data can support your insurance claim.

good when it works
As stated in another review, the app works fine, when it works. It will load up and work once, but then if you want to go on again, you have to delete the app and reinstall it. Please fix so we don’t have to delete and reinstall multiple times a day!!
Works but once
I have to delete and reinstall the app everytime I want to access my score, if I don’t delete it, i get an endless blank white screen. Other than this it works well :)
Works one time, fails next time, forcing delete & re-install!
This has been the experience for months. The developer must know this by now, because there have been many complaints about it. Unfortunately, users can only discover once they’ve been forced by their insurer to get the app. Why no fix?
