Great game, horrible planes
The game itself is great but the planes are frankly bad, don’t control well at all, an inverted up and down is fine and manageable, it’s when you make the plane nearly impossible to control that we have a problem, and that’s exactly what they are, hard to actually fly to the point they spend more time crashing then helping the team either by taking down other aircraft or by hitting the ground troops. Other then that the game is fun and generally plays well.
Edit: okay no I found more things that are annoying or otherwise make the game less enjoyable as listed below:
1. there does not actually seem to be a losing condition, you can be defeated in terms of points but the game still classify that as a win for the team with the least points, so not sure if that’s a bug or not.
2. The characters move way too slowly, They may as well be taking a calm and relaxed walk at their current speed, this just means that getting into any proper combat take ages unless your in a tank or plane, huge waste of time and makes a situation you should be able to get out of a done deal instead.
3. The game apparently likes to randomly turn off its sounds for some reason.
GREAT GAME BUT....
I love the game, I downloaded the game when it first came out and it has surpassed everything I thought it would become. However I think the current amount of maps is a bit lacklustre. I am very happy with the actual maps, but I feel we just don’t have enough.
First of all, a Pacific Island themed map would be cool. Maybe each capture point could be on a different island. Boats could get added that seat a driver, passenger and a gunner. A Blitz map could get added where the Axis forces had to bomb certain points. It could be an almost exclusive aircraft mode but with turrets. Finally a snowy Russian map with trenches, tanks and soldiers could be added with a cold feature. If you left the trench for too long you could start to die. A similar feature could be added for heat in Sandstorm.
A great game!
This game was a LOT better than I expected, and the frame rate+graphics are impressive for a polygon-game. The selection of vehicles and weapons is very extensive, and I can’t stop myself playing it! However, a word of warning, it performs worse for some reason on older iPads, especially when you run into the grass. Anyway, a great game all-round!
