What’s New

Version 7.10.2

Introducing two new updates to your Pocket:

With Apple’s new iOS 13 update, if you’ve set your iPhone or iPad to go into dark mode at a specific time of day, Pocket’s interface will automatically follow suit. Head into settings and turn on “Match System Theme” to enable it.

We’re discontinuing our custom-built Evernote share extension in favor of the official one provided by Evernote, which is better than ever. Now, in order to share articles from Pocket to Evernote, you’ll need to enable the Evernote extension in the iOS share menu. Here’s how:

1. Tap the share button while in Pocket, then tap “More” to edit your sharing options.
2. Tap the Evernote switch to add it as a sharing extension.
3. Evernote will now appear in the list of apps your device can share to.

LOVE pocket!!

I love pocket! Has been such a life improver. I now have all my reading in one place. Yah!
Update oct2018: where has the add button gone in the new update?!
A few things is like improved:
1. Wish there was a pocket app for desktop where as I review an email I can write click a mouse link and the article would save to pocket. Yah! And or email newsletters go direct to pocket and I just select the articles in a list I want to add to my pocket;
2. Wish I could add pdfs. A lot of great reading are.
3. The tweet, even through buffer often doesn't work when on the tube. Seems to searching for online when setting up a buffer tweet is supposed to be an offline function to tweet later.
4. Guess I miss seeing comments about an article. Again to not only see but be able to comment offline would be great.
5. Wish I could turn the page around horizontal like normal reading on my phone.
But really love buffer! Would happily pay eg £5 a year for this, maybe a bit more. Well worth it.

Better than Delicious, but too much SJW content recommended

I looked for a replacement for Delicious for a long time and eventually found Pocket. The solution is pretty good but I have not subscribed to the Premium version for one reason: there is way too much left wing and SJW content. A lot of the recommended articles are of no interest to me. Pocket is meant to recommend articles based on your saved articles. I am libertarian, pro-Trump, pro-Brexit and most of the recommended articles are from the Guardian and left-wing websites and blogs. It is clearly an algorithm that is being manipulated by left-wing employees at Pocket and therefore that is the reason I won’t pay for the premium version. It’s a real shame.
