The all new Selco App makes it even easier to buy from Selco both online and instore. It’s been designed to make life as easy as possible for tradespeople to shop at Selco.
The Selco App brings additional convenience to Selco customers and makes shopping at Selco more accessible by having the App icon on your device home screen, no need to search or Google for Selco to get onto the website.
Selco Trade Card
Never be without your Selco Trade Card when you shop in your local Selco branch as it’s ready to use in one scan of your Trade Card barcode in the App.
Sign in easily, quickly and securely.
Customers will be able to add fingerprint or facial recognition to make signing in easier quicker and more secure. So, the worry of forgetting passwords to log into the website is a thing of the past.
Nearest Branch
Simply opening the app will provide details of the nearest Selco branch to where you are at that particular moment. You can also search for a branch using postcode or place name and see a list of all our branches ordered in distance from your location
Shop Online
The app is fully transactional, provides access to Click & Collect and Click & Deliver functions and contains all of the features available on the website, including project lists and a materials calculator.

Selco’s attempt at an app is nothing short of shocking. While competitors have invested in proper native apps with seamless shopping experiences, fast service, and smooth online ordering for collection or delivery, Selco has taken the cheap route, essentially wrapping a website and calling it an app. The result? Slow, clunky, and utterly frustrating to use.
It’s baffling that leadership thinks this is acceptable in 2025. The building materials industry has moved on, and digital convenience is king. Instead of innovating, Selco is stubbornly clinging to physical stores, ignoring the reality that customers expect efficient digital tools to get the job done. This isn’t just a bad app, it’s a symptom of a company refusing to invest where it actually matters.
While others race ahead with modern solutions, Selco is sleepwalking towards irrelevance.
A short story
There I am at the counter, forgot my selco number but I know it’s on the app, so I log on using Face ID.. but then I have to tick a box to say I’m not a Robot.. and then I have to tick 6 or so pictures that show a motorcycle (well it doesn’t say if it’s the whole motorcycle or the the edge of a wing mirror).. staff getting bored at this point… Then I get whole new set of images only it’s ticking fire hydrants this time.. for the love god.. I’m only buying some skrim..
Gave up.. didn’t get the skrim.. clients ceiling cracked in half.. took me eye out.. now I wear an patch and me Face ID doesn’t recognise me.. can’t log on now even if I wanted to.. which I don’t as per the above.

Useless
Thought they may have updated since last poor reviews... Nope. This has about as much functionality as a website, probably less.
Easier to just save a bookmark on your phone to the website.
