Mixed feelings

The Shopt app is great in theory. However in practice it can be a little frustrating if your wholesaler doesn’t have the specific item in stock (particularly price marked stock). You need to work with the app, read clearly the requirements and have patience. These are just teething problems (both the app and me being a new user) which I think will be ironed out with more use. I’m pleased to say that the interaction & communication from Shopt has been very good and the upload (pics) extremely snappy.

It’s lovely to be rewarded for the stock we carry; but frustrating that we may have a different size or PM pack of a particular item that isn’t included in the reward. Repetition of the same brands is a bit annoying. I also have an Apple iPhone and it is very slow downloading pictures. As a very small independent we have a huge variety of spirits, but maybe only 1 bottle and not the 3 they need to claim a reward.

The shopt app has improved since I first downloaded it. The how to add staff video is especially useful when unable to be present when remembering there are rewards to be claimed. It’s understandable Location services are necessary so people don’t take the picture elsewhere so a staff member taking a quick picture means useful money to help with shrinkage and additional rewards. Useful also to see NPD.
