Sunday Keys features a full suite of audio effects including stereo Delay, lush Reverb, Chorus, Tremolo, Rotor, Overdrive, and more plus powerful midi effects including an Arpeggiator, Easy Chord, and a full midi Sequencer.
Use the Tonic Pad Player to glue together your band and cover any transition with gorgeous background ambient pads. You have full control over the drone's sound, crossfade time, and tone so you'll always fill just the right amount of space. Use the Tonic Pad on the fly or easily program seamless changes per Patch as you move through your Setlist.
The App includes full Midi Learn functionality and supports all Midi and Audio interfaces compatible with MacOS Ventura or newer. Bluetooth and Network Midi are also fully supported! Great app..but waiting for a few enhancements
I have been a Sunday Keys MainStage user for several years and I love it. My experience with the app so far is really positive and the team have done a great job of making an intuitive, stable and beautifully designed app. There are few things that I would like to see come to the app version…some of which I believe are already on the road map. Firstly, and most importantly for me is AUv3 support. The built in sounds are good, but I am used to using Keyscape with MainStage version as for me the builtin piano sounds, while OK, are not quite on point. In particular they lack the velocity layers. The SK Grand I find the best and the upright is also quite good, but some of the pianos are just not up to scratch. I would very much like to use Ravenscroft with the app at the moment I can only use side-by-side. Which means that if I need to adjust the piano volume I need to switch. I also find that some of the builtin electrics pianos sound a bit lack lustre. Take the Rhodes sounds…they sound nice in the mid to upper range but a bit ‘janky’ low down. Maybe they were not sampled across the whole range and the sample have just been pitch adjusted for the lower registers? If I could use AUv3 plugins then this would not matter. Another idea is that maybe Sunday Sounds could offer a ‘HD Pianos’ sound library where the pianos are sampled in more detail (for an additional fee)? Other points for improvement - I miss the graphical EQ of mainstage and find the parametric EQ hard to use. Also I miss the ‘Big’ effect that is in the MainStage version. I was pleased to see the ‘Wispy Violin’ sound make it the latest update…this is one of my favourites. Altogether I hope that this doesn’t come across too negative - the team are doing a great job and I am a big fan of Sunday Sounds.
Wonderful
Similar to mainstage, this app is a great way to play keys with the mac / ipad. It has some nice transition features which go beyond what is possible with mainstage and the learning curve is much easier. Additionally syncing between mac and ipad is great. I'd love to see AUv3 support to integrate plugins which they say is in development.
Audio error
I have been using Sunday Keys for a long time, from Ableton to MainStage and jumping on the App when it was released. I have enjoyed using it , however, following the recent update and after updating my iPad to the recent iOS update, the Sunday Key iPad app is no longer working. It’s coming up with core audio Apple error. Please look into it.
