This App does not seem to have been updated for 2 years and the lack of support shows. The appointment system is useless - it does not allow you to view appointments more than two weeks ahead. Since there are rarely appointments available at my GP at less than a month away it means it is impossible to book an appointment. Yet you can do so online. It does give access to basic records and test results, although it seems not to update the test results very quickly - you can see them online days earlier. It shows medication on repeat prescription but my attempt to order any just kept coming up with page not found error. I had to go back online to do it. It does not allow you to reorder recent medication that is not on repeat, although again, you can do this online. So overall the need to use the web based system leaves this app pointless. But the web system is difficult to use on a mobile device so the app could be useful if it worked properly.

Much as I would like to be able to use this app the repeat prescription request function doesn’t work for me - whilst I can see my medications listed when I highlight them & click ‘Request’ nothing happens. A great pity as this was my main reason for wanting to use the app, I now use the online version instead. This works better in that it does allow you to append notes to the request before sending. I’ve yet to try & make an appointment via the app as I haven’t needed one but it will be interesting to see if that functionality is lacking as well. So much for patient power!

Unfortunately, shoddy software like this is often forced on users by organisations that have no understanding of software development or testing, and don't actually used the software themselves. I must now use this app to order my prescription, and it has been a terrible user experience since day one when the account sign up process failed and it took 3 attempts and calls to support to resolve. It annoys me that I must log on to the app every time I use it. The UI is not intuitive, it is confusing for new users to work out how to actually order a subscription. When you have placed your order it displays a message "your prescription will be ready on the date above" but displays no date. Looking at the help text it has "???" markers suggesting that it was never completed, it was certainly never reviewed during testing (if it was ever tested). Surely the NHS must have someone who understands enough about software to be able to make an informed choice about the systems they force on their patients?

This is the worst patient care record app going. Sadly I have had to move doctors into an area where they use SystmOnline. Previously was using Emis Patient Access. There is simply no comparison!! As someone who lives with chronic health care conditions I loved Patient Access, I could view all my test results, click on them individually and see the results in a graph. Now they are in a list that makes no sense and you cannot compare the with your previous test results. I use the Health app, on my iPhone, to record blood sugar, blood pressure etc. These synced to Emis, so the diabetic team could easily see my results. All my documents and letters are scanned on to Emis so I could always easily find a consultant letter or test results. I need to be able to take responsibility for my health as I suffer with a few autoimmune conditions. This application is way behind the times, is truly a waste of tie and not fit for purpose. Cannot find one positive thing that this does that makes it helpful and useful for us patients!!!
