Works well mostly

They’re pretty much true to their word and take the hassle out of collecting your repeat medications. Their reminders are handy and it’s nice to know when your items have been dispatched. The only issue I have with them is they DO NOT dispense controlled drugs as they can not get this prescription sent to them electronically as it has to be signed for at the surgery. I can’t imagine them sending people from Leeds to all over the country to sign for controlled drug prescriptions. I spent hours on the phone with them trying to find out what was going on with my controlled drug and I was constantly told it was an issue with my doctors, they were chasing it up, they’d ring me back, it was being dispensed etc etc. After a week of this I phoned my doctor who explained the prescription was at the surgery and why it couldn’t be sent electronically. That said, I’m happy with the service that receive now that I collect my own controlled drug prescription and let them deal with the rest.

Better than the local chemist

I have been using the Pharmacy2U site for a few months now. I take quite a lot of prescribed medicines for several complaints and although I had been set up on the EMIS repeat prescription system I became dissatisfied with it, meds ordered from the Doctors surgery often not ready at the local chemist for up to 4 or 5 working days. Often took repeated drive to the Chemist/Doctor to get sorted.
Pharmacy2U are much faster, free to use (I am exempt) and up to yet have never let me down. Also, importantly their systems and procedures do the Doctor chasing for you. I got an email from them a couple of week ago advising me that although they had asked for a Prescription the Doctor had not sent it and further, Pharmacy2U had sent a reminder. The following day I got an email from Pharmacy2U saying they had got the prescription and were processing it, the meds duly arrived by Royal Mail tracked post, no break in supply.
In a few words, I am really pleased with the efficient systems, excellent communication and overall service I get and I have no hesitation in recommending them Also, the I-pad app is easy to use, holds your info and history securely, piece of cake.
Thank you Pharmacy2U👌

Great app but company has a few issues.

On the whole this app is good and it does take the hassle out of having to to the gp every couple of weeks. I’ve not had many issues although if they are waiting for stock to come in before they dispense they don’t inform you of any potential delays on one occasion I was left with no medication for 4 days. You are also able to set a reminder for you to order your medication which is fine if your on one drug but I’m on multiple which all run out the same time so it would be goo if that could be looked at in order to incorporate several reminders.

Your also able to scan the barcode of any new meds which I thought was a good and yore kept up to date with every stage from order to delivery just not if there are any delays. If you need to ring them it’s near impossible to speak to someone unless your happy to hold but it’s not often I have the time to be able to ring anyone and stay on hold for 40 mins.

On the whole a good app and a good service just it could do with a little tweaking.

Developer Response ,

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your review.

I am pleased to hear the service is working well overall. We do actively contact patients regarding any delays to their orders using manual and automated systems, however these processes rely on a background stock report to be effective. If you would like us to investigate the delay with your order, please may I ask that you email our Complaints Team using the below email address.

The reminder service we use works from the dispatch date of the previous order, so assuming you have a 28 day supply of medication we will contact you around 18 days after your order is dispatched. If you would like us to check your reminder is correct, please feel free to contact ourselves.

Should you require any further assistance please advise.

Kind regards,
