Best Timer App Out There

This brilliant app is simple to use and extremely convenient. It adds features to your device that you’ll question why Apple doesn’t just include as standard. In fact I’m not sure how people cope without this app!It can be used to help cook a roast or other meal requiring different timers, helps at the gym for the timings of various exercises. It even helps if you want to remember a few different things at various times because you can name and colour timers. Plus it has the ability to add repeats, change alarm sounds/ duration it plays, add time to an already running timer and even has a dark mode as well multi device support.For a free app I was surprised at just how good it was, I can’t live without it now! So my advice to you if you’re thinking about downloading would be to give it a go because you can’t go wrong… Even the adverts on the free version aren’t intrusive or annoying but if you want to get rid of them all together the app offers a premium upgrade which also helps the developers with future updates they have in the works such as timers that start as a different one ends, adding rest periods to repeating timers and even removing time from running timers, so watch this space.I’m new to rating apps but this one deserved a 5/5 so I came back specifically to do it. Highly Recommended.

Alarm duration too short.

Excellent app that does what it says however for me there is one change I would like to see. I use this on an iPad rather than a phone so if one of the timers ends when I’m not in the room I might miss it as the alarm only sounds for a short duration. It does create a notification but that gets hidden by the lock screen quite quickly. What I think is needed is the ability to set the alarm duration for each timer when setting one up, in my case I’d like to be able to set it so it sounds until I switch it off/acknowledge it. If this was introduced I would be far more inclined to go pro.

I really wanted to like this, and even paid for the full version hoping that the extras would provide what I needed, but am disappointed. My needs are pretty simple: I want a 1 minute countdown timer for between sets in the gym. Nothing more complex than that. But I do want it on both phone and watch. This app provides both, as well as a widget and a dynamic island and lock screen version, so once running you can always see it. Great. However, the phone and watch versions are separate. You can't set the timer on one and see it on the other, there are two discrete versions of the timer, which isn’t really what I wanted. Also, the watch version has to be set each time, you can’t just start a preset like on the phone. Secondly, and most importantly, there’s no haptic alert, ie vibration. You either have to have an audible alarm (who wants that outside of your house?) or else you to visually check the phone regularly. This, sadly, makes it almost useless.Lastly, and weirdly, when the timer gets to the end it just carries on going in reverse - ie it starts counting upwards. No idea why. So you have to manually stop it every time. I have to admit I regret paying full price for it now, though I’m sure these things could be fixed. There are a million timer apps but I’ve yet to find one that does what I need, strangely.
