Updated - Now works for 2020

Update: Following feedback from the Developers (and an update) the app now works fine, but I am being asked to pay again (having paid last year for a lifetime subscription). I have upgraded my review to 3 stars, but will not be paying again. Plenty of other apps do the same thing.

I paid for watermark removal in 2019 and it worked fine for me then. This year I just get the “doing some housekeeping...” message. Tried several times over the last few days (at different times of day), so I don’t think it is just busy.

It’s free and still I want a refund.

So Top 9 is all the rage and I thought I’d been one of the many who posted theirs this year. I searched for it and came on to the website for this app. It told me it’s so busy I need to download the app. Hmm. I was sceptical, but I thought ‘why not?’ and that was my 2nd mistake.

The app shows just how quick it can pull together a Top 9 and makes me feel like the website would have worked just fine if they had wanted it to. That aside, I didn’t even get to see the picture properly because the ‘rate us’ button flashed up before I could do anything and wouldn’t go away until I clicked that I would. Big mistake Top 9. Also you are expected to pay to remove the watermark. Nah I think I’ll pass. Perhaps I’ll just see which 9 it is an make my own version for free. Surely this is an app better paid by ads?

Hidden prices

The app itself worked fine but I’d rather they just put upfront that they wanted £1.99 rather than say they are free and then ask for money to remove the watermark- obviously people don’t want the watermark and will pay to remove it! It covers most of the images! The company probably think it’s just business but personally I think it’s very irritating. On top of that, once you’ve paid to get rid of the watermark, the final product STILL has lots of writing around it. Yes I can (and did) crop it, but that always lessens the image quality of the pictures and honestly just shouldn’t be something you have to do after paying extra already. This was my first time doing this and I will not be doing it again.
