Training Today constantly monitors your Health Data from Apple Watch to determine your readiness to train (RTT) each day and throughout the day.
Training Today can help you stay safe from overtraining injury or let you know if it’s the best time to work hard, take it easy, or have a rest day.
Developed with British Triathlon Coaches and tested on athletes of varying ability, we have taken a holistic view of your life by using the advanced capabilities of Apple Watch to monitor your health 24hrs a day and process that data to create a simple, accurate readiness to train (RTT) score to help you reach your training goal.

I gave this app some time before putting this review out. I feel this is the perfect timing to talk about training today as of last week I came down with Covid and I didn’t expect the see what the app displayed. My body went into complete shock with the virus and training today showed my score as 0.0 and recommends to take a break! Even tho I am recovering and 80% recovered the app still recommend I go for a very gentle walk!! It’s incredible how it knows how my body feels and it’s a absolutely spot on. Even prior to falling sick upon waking up I have a score of racing and again the assessment by the app is on the ball. All in all an app that I can rely on not to exhaust myself in training and take the right beaks for full recovery. Well done team
A very useful and helpful app

At last a way to understand and make use of all that HRV data! This app provides a useful indication of how well I’ve recovered from previous workouts so I can modify my workout plans for the week or maintain awareness of how I feel during workouts so I can push myself (or not!) accordingly. I think paying for the extra charts is well worth it for those like me who appreciate geeking out 🤓. They could do with making the functionality and UI a bit more self explanatory/intuitive but knocking a star off just for that would be disproportionate to the value of what the app offers. I hope they continue to improve on it. Well done!
Great app but still has more potential

Absolutely been loving the app, I’ve been looking for a whoop like Experience on the Apple Watch and this has delivered. However, the app could improve a bit more with having a questionnaire to assess your perceived exertion or taking into consideration your sleep data. With that being said, the app is fantastic and paying the small fee for the graphs in my opinion is a no brainier. Love this app so much, I’m constantly looking at it during the day as a form of assessing my physical condition. Worth the purchase and can’t recommend enough🙂
Whoop Replacement...maybe.

I have only been using the app for a few days but so far so good. I have started to up my training again, so this app will become mega valuable to me.The app is super easy to use, the compilations for the Apple Watch are super nice too and puts the right data where you want it. The ability to have a smoothing and intensity setting, enables the user to tailor the suggestion to your needs. For example at this time I am recovering from man flu so I have I have dialled down the intensity and increased the smoothing. When I’m fully recovered I can change those settings to reflect my how my body feels.I was recommended this app, but ex whoop users who say this has replaced their whoop. I would be interested to see how this app develops in terms of the data points it tracks to give your your score. But what it’s current state it does what it needs to do, the support is super helpful also which is nice.
RTT now accounts for periods when you may be unwell.
When recent health data shows patterns commonly associated with illness, such as changes in resting heart rate, temperature, or sleep, you may be prompted to select how you’re feeling.
Based on the selected severity, RTT is adjusted to better reflect reduced recovery capacity during illness.
Health signals are indicative only and not a medical diagnosis.
